Mixing Medium is the perfect companion to the Formula P3 Paint line.Painters of all skill levels use mediums to thin their paints without changing the consistency.
I do both. Some colors of wash I just use a LOT. Nuln oil, Reikland Fleshshade, Agrax Earthshade. These are my workhorse washes, and it's frankly just easier to buy the pot.
Other washes I'll make. P3 Blighted Gold makes a great wash over P3 Solid Gold for example. You end up with a slightly green tinged set of armor (it comes up a lot with Circle).
To make a wash I'll take ~2 brush fulls of paint, add 1-2 drops of mixing medium, and then add water till it's pretty thin (skim milk consistence or less). You'll get a feel for it with time, but as a rule better to over-thin than under for a wash.
