I had this same complaint about my Gen4 19. Even with 10k+ rounds through it, the "mush" was still there.
The Gen4 Glocks are constructed with a different trigger bar from the Gen3s. They have a small nub at the top that sits against the inside of the slide and is supposed to add support as the bar runs along the firing pin safety. This is what you are feeling before the break.
You can see the Gen3 bar next to the Gen4 trigger bar here. The one on the right is the Gen4: http://i.imgur.com/OS8mhtw.jpg
The simplest solution is to just buy a Gen3 trigger bar and drop it in your Gen4. I would avoid polishing or filing.

Get this, a Gen 3 trigger bar, a ZEV Spring Kit, ghost or other 3.5 connector, and Lonewolf Lightweight firing pin. You will have a nice light pull with zero wall.
