Fill 000 sized gel capsules with wet, organic soil that has had all the 'floaties' removed (by putting it in a bucket and gently letting it overflow). Push the gel capsules all the way to the bottom of the tank through your current substrate. Focus especially around heavy feeders such as amazons. You can also fill these with clay for iron feeding.
Fill your own capsules with salt/NoSalt. Fits ~3/8 of a tsp. Salt isn't to bad on an empty stomach but any of the ones with potassium can make me a little queasy for 30 min or so unless I have plenty of water in first.
