If you have an OTG adapter, you can pair it up with a USB hub so you can use a mouse, keyboard, and external storage media with your device.
One should have came in your box with your S7, and it looks like this (if you don't have it, there are cheaper alternatives)
You can also use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, if you don't want a rats nest of cables going to your phone; something like this AmazonBasics keyboard and this mouse
If you want a bigger screen, I would suggest getting a portable HDMI monitor and a Chromecast.
Here's a video from MrMobile about converting a tablet to a laptop, but should have some good tips for you:

Note: No affiliate links are in this post, and I do recommend to do your own research on buying a BT mouse + keyboard, I took two seconds of research for the ones in this post, you should do more :)

All three support the USB connection kit: https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/accessories/android-connection-kit
...which you technically don't need - a USB printer cable will do if you have a phone that does "USB-OTG" (on-the-go) and an OTG adaptor.
If you want wireless connectivity, get the PM5.
No, i have the old mico-usb. I'm not sure if it's a usb-c issue. I am using the otg connector that came with my phone (this one). i plug that otg connector into the remote and then the micro-usb end into the phone.
This came with the phone https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Adapter-Connector-samsung-galaxy/dp/B01G00TWRK
Plug that into the phone and this into the adapter https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-microSD-Memory-Reader-FCR-MRB/dp/B000V5G4TK
Would attaching a USB coupler to the full-size end of the USB cable I use to charge serve the same function as getting a USB-C to USB 2.0/3.0/whatever adapter? For example, would I be able to attach a keyboard and a mouse and have it function if I had the right adapters or do I need one that plugs directly into the phone specifically?
EDIT: I feel like I'm explaining this poorly. What I'm asking is would sticking this on the end of my charging cable be functionally the same as using this plugged right into the phone?
