Is the S&G Dial centered where the old keypad is? I've considered converting my Cannon safe to use one those these.

Lock kit for a dial Lock.

The Fix

Get 2 tapered pins and ball bearing that just fit in the hole. ( the pins I linked too are pricey check your local hardware store) just giving you an idea of what to look for. )

Remove old lock install a taper pin from the back try to only insert it 3/8 inch. Now insert bearing preferably with hammer. You can now install taper pin on front. then grind them off. This is the best fix.

The easy fix is just a tapered pin in the front or back.

Follow instructions that come with lock on the Install. Be careful cutting dial rod you get one chance and don't mess up the threads. clamp the piece your cutting off in vice if possible, Don't hold dial and cut you can damage it. clean end with a file.

Check your combo multiple times. before closing door.

Sorry I never recommend electronic safe locks for floor safes due to water issues.

Apparently you can swap out the electronic lock for a manual one yourself.

Video review by someone who swapped his out. And the lock he used can be purchased here.

Also, this appears to be in the neighborhood of 11-12 guage steel (it's 2.75mm thick according to the manufacturer's website).

Uh, which model? I only ask because I recently found out they have an S&G replacement kit available on Amazon for $80 bucks.
