This the Bluetooth Receiver.
This is the cable I use.
I used a velcro tape to connect the receiver to the side of the headphones. I can remove it no problem when I have to charge it.
This is how it looks like.
I love the battery life. Easily 15 hours, maybe even more than that to be honest. No delay on my computer's built in bluetooth, so I can watch videos and play games without any problem.

I think that will be too short. You could go with the 8 inch and attach the clip of the Fiio to the metal wings just above the earcups on the X2's. You could also get a 1ft cable and velcro the btr1k to the band (I do this). Final option would be to just let it dangle from the end of the headphone (with the jack it is probably about 2.5" long).
