Nice! Except for limited kickstand positions & the weight, everything else about the SP2 is amazing. I would highly recommend getting one of these http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IZMKM94/ if you want to add 2~4 hours of battery life to your Surface.

If you don't mind a little extra thickness, the Power Cover is cheaper than that and about doubles the surface 2 battery life

For the battery life, I'd get the old power cover, while it's on sale over at Amazon. If you check the sidebar, there should be some new ones at $69.99 with free shipping. Saves you a penny off what I linked.

Sure it looks awkward and doesn't cover the entire screen, but you get more battery life on the go! And it's thin enough to not take up much more space anyway.

I'm also in California, and I'm looking to sell my Surface Pro 2.

It is the 256GB version featuring 8GB of RAM and an i5-4300U processor, running Windows 10 Pro. There is one hairline scratch on the screen that is only visible when the screen is off, and the rest of the chassis has normal wear from carrying it in my bag. The inside of the kick-stand has a chip that does not affect functionality.

I'm the second owner of this device and have had it since November 2014 April 2015 (edit: I just checked the receipt). I've used it for graphic design and software development work, so a similar use case to yours.

I also have the original charger in good condition and a Surface Power Cover Keyboard. I do not have the Surface Pen.

I'm looking to get $275 shipped for the bundle. I would also be happy to meet up if you're located near Orange County. If you're interested at the price, I will take pictures as soon as I get the opportunity.
