I rather like gaming mice, particularly the naga. I find the side buttons massively useful for teamspeak, puush, macros, and AHK. Amusingly, a 10 dollar mouse has 2 side buttons and better wireless ability than any "gaming" mice with or without side buttons. ^(Side note, mice with generic side buttons, meet) ^x-mouse

Keyboards I couldnt care less about. The only benefit are the macros, which are pointlessly out of reach anyways. If you want mechanical, look at a generic kind.

Or simply put... Other than a quality, preferably wired, gaming mouse, everything is a joke.

There's definitely better quality ones out there, I just bought this one for the low price and to see how I like multi-button mouses. It's holding up pretty well so far.

This will probably sound crazy, but I bought this cheap $10 Chinese wireless mouse so I could get free shipping with my other purchase, and figured I'd use my with my laptop.

Edit:

-It has two thumb buttons which can be programmed for in game commands with no extra software.

-battery life is great. Mine has been on the same AA battery for the last 3 months.

-The buttons are very, very clicky. It's like the mouse version of a cherry mx blue keyboard. Some might find this annoying, but if you like that kind of audible and tactile feedback, then it's a great choice.

Get one of these bad boys. I've had mine since September 2013, and it's still working fine. I think I've changed the battery twice.

If it fits you hand good and comfortably and has a good DPI for you then thats great. It is comfortable and I havent noticed any skips. However I play at 800dpi 7 sens and it is really hard to do fast turns, especially with my tiny mouse mat,. I don't notice any input lag or anything, but that may be because i have never actually played with a wired mouse before.

Unless you're doing twitch-style gaming, I see zero reason to spend a lot of money on a mouse. Or if you're into the RGB thing, I guess...

Laptop Stand
I personally go paperless in PF debate, except for my flows. So having a stand to get my laptop off the desk and closer to eye-level is good. (The legs detract from the height in the picture.) Also this is widely used in my circuit by all laptop debaters and it is super reliable.

Extension cords for laptop chargers are also handy if you have a laptop with a low battery life. A lot of PC users end up using extension cords to charge their laptops in round.

Wireless Mouse
This is extremly useful when cutting cards on the go, in round throwing evidence into a speech, or even sorting through your articles in the Extemp prep room. So nice to have a cheap wireless mouse you don't have to worry about. I just use a Razer Naga for all the macros but I would reccomend the mouse I linked.

I just use my phone as a timer. I would really appreciate if someone linked a good timer that is more professional than my phone!

Also a good backpack that can hold tons of flow paper, a laptop, chargers, laptop stand, etc. without killing your back is important.

It may be worth it to get a mouse like that then. Doesn't have to be a super fancy 8 button gaming mouse that costs $100.

Honestly for the money this is one of my favorite wireless mice.

i used to use this im not sure how good the specs are but i never felt it was a bottleneck to my gaming plus its lasted as i bought it in 2013 and my brother still uses it
