there are 2 colors (black & gray). i have the gray one. it's stylishly slim & durable 3 layered protection for your switch device.

I love my tomtoc slim case. It really is ultra thin as advertised, but it is extremely durable in case you drop it. I also like it has specific spaces for buttons and sticks, because when coupled with its durability you don’t have buttons being pushed with pressure (something I have noticed that happens with other cases).

I’ve traveled with it numerous times. No complaints whatsoever.

I had your same concerns but I have had the RDS grip for about six months now and have no issues with those two tabs. I constantly take it on and off and throw it in my backpack all the time by itself and it is still in great shape and shows no signs of breaking. When I travel I keep my switch in the following case and keep the goplay grip just thrown in my bag along with everything else.

So, I've had a few cases by now, but usually I find when I want to go out with my Switch, I just need the console itself and a couple games at most.

Therefore I've fallen in love with this Tomtoc Slim Hardshell Case.

It's really perfect and form fitting, super tiny, tough and looks good. 5/5.

I've been really happy with this case. It's rigid, so it provides a bit of protection when in my backpack with all my other junk, but it still has a really slim profile.

I use this case and toss it in my backpack along with the charger. I think it’s perfect. Absolutely love this case. Has a hard outer shell and the inside is very soft. It even has an interior flap that holds 8 cartridges. I highly recommend it.

Im not sure about messenger bags. I haven’t seen anything like that for the switch.

Does anyone have the tomtoc case? It's on sale and I want to buy it but some of the reviewers say it leaves marks on the switch. For those of you that have it, did it leave marks?

It's a hard case, but doesn't takes much space like some.

Oh, no. There isnt any that cover the joycons.

For that you would need a full case.

People have been wanting clamshell-like protection for nearly 3 years now and it still hasnt happened.

So its likely never going to happen.

I highly recommend a case. I don't think a screen protector is enough for taking the switch on the go. I wouldn't want to throw it in a back pack without one. I have bought two cases for mine and the one I linked below is my favorite and most form fitting.

I also recommend getting silicon grips for portable play. The form factor of the Switch is not comfortable and having the extra bump on the back of the grips for your hands makes a world of difference and they are not expensive.

It's a thin plastic case around almost all of your Switch to protect it from scratches & bumps, and comes with a tempered glass screen protector. It's also dockable, and thin enough to fit in many carrying cases.

If you travel long-distances or on lengthy trips, you may want to get a larger zippered hard case to fit your chargers, battery packs, extra joy-cons and/or pro controllers, HDMI dock, tons of games, etc. I don't have any one in particular to recommend, but in searching ebay it seems like there are hundreds of different cases available now (though not all of them look good).

So i just got a Switch, slightly bumped out by the news of the announcement of the better battery life version but its fine.

I'm intending to dbrand skin my switch and am looking for a slim case to carry it around in. My options are SF Waterfield Pouch or tomtoc slim case

Any other recommendations? I don't need a case to carry chargers and extra accessories around. Also thinking of getting a gripcase for home use.
