You will need to get a battery charger, but there's some pretty cheap ones that will do a better job than the stock Traxxas one and do it much faster.

Wow, Traxxas went full retard on incorporating the plugs.
The guy below there has an adapter for you.
Also note the dedicated charger is only 50 dollars.
