I use this for my MBP, works great for charging but not while using. 45w.

I have this car charger, had it about a month and a half and it's pretty legit. I get 50-60% charge in my 45ish minute commute to/from work.

Yea I even purposely tried to let my 8+ die last night to test my car charger. Was at 3% when I left for work and was at 50% about 27 minutes later when I checked after parking at work.

Trianium Quick Charge 3.0 & USB Type-C 63W 2-Port USB Car Charger PD Chipset-ENBL definitely works to fast charge 8+ :D Don't know if I want to get another for my wife or try a less expensive one.

The [iPhone 8 and iPhone X support fast charging over USB-C Power Delivery](

So just get a USB-C PD car charger, like one of these, plus an Apple^† USB-C to Lightning cable.

I've been happy with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0711BK418/

Needs a C-to-C cable for USB PD, though.

You could go for any one of the new ultrabooks being released with a usb type c connector for charging (e.g https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LHUAFAQ/). And then get usb type c car charger with power delivery feature (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0711BK418/).

You have to use a USB PowerDelivery charger, as this phone doesn't have QuickCharge technology. I'd recommend these (none are affiliate) cables car charger and I typically use the stock charger brick, but I believe that this one should work, but I haven't used it.
