I know this is not what you asked, but i had the same problem as you did last year. It's kind of expensive but I use this:
Ultimate Guard Superhive Flip Case 550+. It holds 550 lose double sleeved cards, 2 playmats and has a dice compartment (although it's rather small). But that's not why I bought them. It holds smaller deckboxes as well! For edh I use the Ultimate Guard 100+ Sidewinder. Four of these deckboxes fit in the Superhive with some spare room for tokens.
The Superhive also fits perfectly into my backpack. Hope it might help someone.
