I run 12 of each, in case I'm heavily in a single color. When it comes to a good box I personally use and can recommend the "Pro Dual Deck Box" by Ultra Pro ("Standard" size) as a cheap an effective way of holding a draft kit very nicely. A cheaper solution would be a BCW card box or generic equivalent of about 200-300 capacity.

I like the Ultra Pro Dual Deck Box, I have RftG, the AA expansion, and action cards+tokens for 5 players all sleeved and inside that box (~250 cards IIRC, plus some tokens). That'd probably fit the ~350 Snake Oil cards if you didn't sleeve them.

You've received some great advice. Here's my take (after watching countless hours of the Professor on Tolarian Community College youtube channel).

  • The ultra pro deck boxes are a great start!
  • For about the same price, try out the ultra pro 'pro-dual' deck box. It holds two decks (or one deck plus dice/counters) all in one convenient spot! (link)
  • The elite trainer boxes are a great value, and the box is excellent for storing cards. You can put cards in directly (like the picture provided above) or you can even fit the Ultra Pro deck boxes inside. (link
  • The elite trainer box also includes card sleeves that you can use to protect your kids' deck. These are not the strongest sleeves, but they look great and are much better than nothing. If the kids are yanking cards in and out of these they may get beat up pretty quickly, so you'll have to decide if it's worth using sleeves at this point.
  • Inner sleeves (or penny sleeves) are clear transparent sleeves. These will provide a bit of protection and can be used permanently (no need to ever take them out of these). Cards sleeved with these can then be 'double sleeved' in the bigger outer sleeves (like the ones included in the elite trainer box) for maximum protection. Inner sleeves are slick so trying to use them without an outer sleeve may prove difficult as the cards will slide around and not stack well. (link)

Good luck! Check out the Professor if you really want to go deep! His 'report card' is great!

I'm using the KMC Hyper Matte Sleeves.

I like them because they're slightly textured on the back and not as slippery as other sleeves. The cards fit very nicely in them.

I linked the black ones to you through Amazon. They have white, dark blue, and maroon as other color options. Also note that you'll have to buy 2 of these packs to have enough for Star Realms.

I store the game in an Ultra Pro Dual Deck Box.

I'm using an Ultra Pro dual deck box for just this thing. One deck in each half. I like the idea above to use a little foam for dice rattle.

I am fan of these boxes for holding commander decks. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AF7P67A/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1408571597&sr=8-3&pi=SX200_QL40

My Scenario & Encounter cards are sleeved in a BCW Deckbox. I also have a Dual Deckbox that I can hold the 3 pre-built core decks in. Tokens are held in a Plano 3500

Everyone else has been saying Ultimate Guard or the Satin Towers, and I have to say I agree with u/sarithe. I recently switched to the ultra pro dual box they're referencing, and I just love it. One half perfectly holds 60 double-sleeved (with room to pull it out), and the other half keeps my sideboard separate (which I like) and also leaves room for dice etc.

I also have the Boss Monster themed box that Deviathan mentions and I'm glad I do, but for traveling I like something more compact like the Ultra Pro "Pro-Dual" storage boxes.

The Pro Dual boxes are plastic (so somewhat fluid-resistant), have a velcro-based closure, hold 180 cards, and come with dividers for $5 each. They're a bit cheaper ($4) on CoolStuffInc or Miniature Market, and I usually buy a couple whenever I do a gaming supplies purchase. If you don't want to wait for shipping, your FLGS may carry them.

I store Hanabi, Fairy Tale and Love Letter in this box. It's a nice and portable package.

I used those sheets with card pockets for a while, but it's a real pain to keep them all organized as you get new cards. Even when I intentionally left empty slots for new cards to fill, I had to spend time resorting them every wave or two when I bought new ships.

I've switched to keeping the cards in Ultra Pro Dual Deck Boxes, and they are great. Full size cards fit normally, and the mini size cards fit well too if you turn them sideways. And now when I get new cards I just drop them in where they go. I printed off some dividers with the card-type symbols (medal for EPT's, sensor dish for Systems, etc.) on them to make it easy to find the cards I'm looking for.
