Anker Powerline+ cords are where it's at. They have 10ft cords, and they are super durable. I have had some for years that show no sign of degradation. And they aren't really any more expensive than other cables that are definitively worse.

You may be able to find each cheaper, I just picked some links.

I use this usb-c cable and this wall charger both from anker. They seem to be the perfect match for this phone. Haven't had any issues with them when I was using it with my S8+ and with my S10+.

I've ordered this one as it is 10 ft, the one that Oculus recommends is only available in 6 ft on Amazon UK:

Should work though, as far as I understand it has the same specs. Will update in two days when I try it out.

Try wired with wired communications only enabled with airplane mode turned on for that switch.

Ideally, the community would adopt this as the gold standard, as wireless pro controllers are truly awful for competative scenes - it's totally fine at home (I use a wireless powerA gamecube controller in bed and on the toilet and it's awesome) but at competitions if your controller re-connects to the console and the home button is struck you can instantly interrupt a match. If a stick is held down, the homescreen will tug and pull infinitely and it can be extremely difficult to escape from - I've seen this happen and I've done a bunch of testing, it sucks and it's very easy if your controller is in your bag or pocket.

The ONLY way to unpair the controller on the switch is to pair it to another device (like your phone) or to go into the switch home menu, go to settings, go down to controllers and go to the unpair all controllers from this console, which requires you to REMOVE IT FROM THE DOCK.

Looping back to your specific issue though, it's possible it was interference - bluetooth is usually not subjected to interference the way say, RF or 2.4ghz wifi, and bluetooth has 80 channels it can page through rapidly - however, when you consider the large number of phones, nintendo switches, joycons and other pro controllers nearby all likely also doing stuff at around 2.4ghz interference becomes much more likely - at work, my bluetooth headset in the office will reach almost 60 feet away from the dongle, through a wall or two. That same headset and dongle at home gets barely 30 feet before the connection gets spotty, a little less if my switch is on and the joycons are sitting there nearby.

So I'd always bring a wire - a long wire, if possible. these 10ft C to A cables from anker look pretty nice. Then, go home and go to settings and controllers and make sure pro controller wired communication is turned ON. this is not ON by default, so it's possible the unit you played on did not have this toggled!

If you are absolutely sure it was turned on because you went and physically checked that setting with your own eyeballs and the controller was still lagging, that would be strange and likely means the controller itself is damaged - interference isn't possible with a wired connection.

If it worked normally again at home, it was just interference. Again, plugging it in does not mean it's doing wired comms unless the system is told to do so!

Hey all. I purchased this cable from Amazon yesterday and got it today. I downloaded the Oculus app and went to set it up and it is stuck on "Connect Your Headset". It's just spinning in circles. I clicked to allow data access inside the headset and the PC is recognizing it but the Oculus software isn't..

Any tips?

I tried this cable and it didn’t work. Which is strange because it is pretty much the one they recommended. I am using a laptop with an i7 and a GTX 1070. Should that even matter?
