Damn, am I gonna have to say wide smiles again? No no no, I'll change it up.

Wide head tilts beyond the normal human angle! Doesn't that go with wide smiles? Shit...

Ugh...

Rituals!! Those don't go with anything, right? Yeah! Rituals! Salt circles, counting backwards from 100 in Sumerian Parceltongue, Bloody Maria (I'm Spanish. You guys got Mary. We got Maria. Build your fucking wall if you don't like it!)

Ouija boards are dumb too. Seriously, check out the FAQ and review section of Amazon for some laughs!

Special shout out to people posting stories about their dreams. No one cares. Your dreams aren't scary to anyone else but you. Why not just say it happened and leave out the whole dream sequence? How pissed would you be if you were watching Breaking Bad or Walking Dead or Entourage or Law and Order and the stories ended with "IT WAS ALL A DREAM!" You'd be pissed! Same freakin' thing! Don't do it in a story!

Oh here's another. Stories which capitalize on a tragedy. It's not scary because I feel its in bad taste. Not everyone feels this way and that's fine. This is my opinion on it.

Aside from this one story I heard on the NoSleep Podcast about the missing Malaysian airplane (Good one to whoever wrote it), 99% of stories which are based upon real life tragedies end up missing the mark and feeling more like capitalizing on the misfortune of others and fictionalizing something which shouldn't necessarily be fictionalized when people are still dealing with pain and the loss of loved ones. Find the inspiration in true life events and make something else up but don't literally write a story about being in the Twin Towers on 9/11 and saying Cthulhu did it.

Okay...one more for the road!

Edit: Sleep paralysis stories don't scare me. I group that right with dream stories. I do understand why people write about it so much but it still doesn't do it for me. Your brain is in a transitional period. You're body is still sleep while you are awake. Shit gets weird when the brain doesn't function right. LSD, shrooms, ect. will make you see and feel and do weird shit too.

Edit 2:

This is it. I promise.

2nd Person POV. I don't care how well written it is. No, I'm not seeing naked dancing cherubs running their testicles all over the parmigiana cheese. No, I'm not whacking it. No, I'm not doing anything you are saying because I am sitting here reading this pile of shit and definitely...definitely not whacking it.
