It depends on how "far out" you want to get - but some of my non-baby-item must haves for baby include a:

  • stick vaccuum - this comes in handy the minute kiddo becomes mobile. I use mine at least 2x daily

  • chux pads - pre labor, after labor, during diaper changes, in your car, in public. I use these everywhere

  • pop socket for your phone - because dropping your phone on a sleeping newborn infant's head while trying to snap a picture is sad. Ask me how I know

  • wet bags - I use these to organize my diaper bag, store snacks, wet clothes, everything

  • collapsible storage bins - I have these all over filled with toys. It's nice because my son can lean into them to collapse them so he can reach toys at the bottom, as opposed to hard toy boxes where they either cry for you or fall in trying to reach

  • immersion blender - you can turn anything into puree without having to buy a baby specific product, and it'll serve you post-baby as well

Might be weird to put these things on a registry though :'D

iwoly V600 Vacuum Cleaner Corded Bagless Lightweight Stick Vacuum It's so easy to use and really simple to swap the heads/extension tube, I've never been more in love with a cleaning tool.

I use a stick vac. It's light, handy, works great on hard floors and can be separated from the stick to use as a hand vac. https://www.amazon.com/Dirt-Devil-Simpli-Stik-Lightweight-SD20000RED/dp/B002KCO96C/ref=sr_1_6

No joke, get a upright dyson vac possibly with pet hair attachment. It's so light and hides away in a closet, so that it takes 2 seconds for a quick cleanup. I speak from experience. I never really realized how much hair I left in the bathroom from trimming my beard and shaving my head. Now I use the vac and keep everything clean.

This is the one I want because it goes under couches and my dog hair manages to get under there. It also has a battery you can buy to charge while you're vacuuming so you don't ever have the dreaded run out of battery!!!

It's at Kohls for 249 right now and with the 40% off it would be amazing. :)

You may want to try and get an interdict or even a non-harassment order (it's our version of a restraining order.)

One of your best bets would be going through Shelter or going to a lawyer and report that a crazy woman was blocking your car and terrifying your kid.

Also, get a dash cam. I have this one, https://www.amazon.co.uk/ORSKEY-Dashboard-Dashcam-Detection-G-sensor/dp/B07PFSXZ2W/ It's good to have her recorded so you can record her (and get her an asbo...)

There is not a noticeable power difference between the V8 and V10/v11.
Yes on all Dyson you have to hold the trigger.
I have a experience with LG plug in vacuums once you buy it you're basically buying something without a warranty so if anything goes wrong you're up shit creek.
I personally would never buy a appliance unless I knew I could get parts and service for it.

If you're looking for an alternative to Dyson I do recommend cordless Henry or a Cordless Hoover.

no carpet really helps bring down the requirements.

Cordless really makes it easy to whip out the vacuum so you can vacuum more often. So I'd recommend a cordless.

And it seems on amazon.com, they can start at pretty cheap (pay for what you get, but if it's only hardwood, low suction isn't a deal breaker for you)

It sounds like you're not sensitive to dust, so that's one fewer requirement (bagged, hepa etc.)

I realize I'm probably recommending a POS, but vacuuming with a meh vacuum more often is better than not vacuuming, imo

The dewalt cordless would be a good option. I've got the Milwaukee tea kettle vac and then deafening loud m18 wet dry, but I mainly use them for house work stuff. I bought the Hoover cordless stick vac because of my hardwood floors, but I found out it has an (electric) powered agitator brush that can fit on just the handheld... which makes cleaning the foot wells and other flat surfaces of my car easy.

I've got this one and I love it. It may not be the best for a large house or anything, but if you're like me and live in a one bedroom apartment and hate vacuuming, the convenience of cordless is for the best. It is very lightweight and easy to use but it's still really great at picking up pet hair! And my hair!

If you're in cordless territory, seriously consider instead the Bissell AirRam. Performance is excellent (for what it is) and it sits on the floor. Handle telescopes in and out of the way. All those dyson clones cheap out on what makes a dyson a dyson, the cyclones and the excellent brushless motor. When the handle is in, it's the perfect height for a kid to use (my nephews fight over who gets to use mine). Swivel steering makes it a breeze for getting around and under stuff.

If you don't like it, you can return it! But I bet you'll like it. The battery will seriously clean an entire small house and then some on a single charge. Easy to use!

This is my most wanted/needed Amazon item

I would be very grateful for any one of the 3 wallets. That style is the kind of wallet I like to carry. I'm not very girly and I don't really care for purses so I get zipper wallets to cram all my cards and such in. I've gone through quite a few. The one you and your g/f are offering are really nice! I wouldn't care which color, I love all 3 of them.

Thanks for the awesome contest!

That's the one I've got my eye on!

I got the knockoff version of a Dyson from Amazon for less than $175 US. Works great but burns through the battery fast. I'd recommend a spare.

I'm curious about these stick vacs on Amazon that are under/around $100. I'm not married to the idea of battery/cordless, I'm wondering if anybody has one of these iWoly units. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DXVN7C5

Thanks for the tip. I just snapped up the Shark Ion p50 on Amazon - it's one of the Prime deals today and was only $180: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FX3Y4TB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 At that price, if it turns out to be the pits, I can at least feel like I didn't break the bank.

Another commentor noted that Shark filtration systems weren't great, but Vacuum Wars gave this version very high marks next to the Dyson V10 (which I couldn't possibly afford). I guess it's a big improvement over previous versions.

I suspect that I'm not going to luuuv how it doesn't hang in a docking station like my Dyson does. But not having to swap heads between rugs and hard surfaces was pretty much my deciding factor. Fingers crossed it's not a disappointment... and don't tell Dyson I'm cheating on him!

This Bosch vacuum cleaner is solid, compact and easy to clean.

We live in an apartment with hardwood floors and have a cat. Got a really good deal on a dyson ball animal a while ago and have used it a bunch but only through the wand. Didn't really have much problems except having to deal with the huge ass vacuum and the cords. I sold it on craigslist for around what I paid for it and was planning to get the cordless Dyson DC44 Animal but after reading some of your opinions I'm not too sure. We've tried a few other handhelds before and they all seem to turn to shit pretty quick. Got any advice?
