It actually is. Basic Royal Kludge RK61 with some various keycaps I had from other builds.

$40 for a wireless (Bluetooth) clicky mechanical that feels good to type on - plus one that has a simple backlight with different lighting modes was just the deal for me, as the most duty this bad boy sees is controlling the PC I have running on my living room TV. Probably going to make another one for the Surface Pro I use for DMing DnD campaigns.

EDIT:

Since there's some interest in this, here are the exact pieces I used for this setup and links to buy them:

-Keycap Set 1 - Almost Everything

-Keycap Set 2 - Blank Green Shift Keys

-Base Keyboard Model

-Mouse

-Mousepad

-Bluetooth Adapter for PC

BONUS:

-It's not the one I have, but here's a cool artificial succulent

You’re welcome. I remember being completely underwater at three weeks (our baby had just gotten released from the NICU, and my DH had already had to go back to work a week earlier). I’m still half-underwater now, tbh, but it’s definitely getting better, and the immediate sense of trauma and loss (that feeling of being separated from my baby right after birth, and knowing that that’s time I can’t ever get back) has receded a lot. I can remember it and even talk about it now without crying, and that feels like a big improvement.

Yeah, even a waterproof room might not be enough sometimes. I got peed on last weekend (I got too cocky right before bathtime!), and yesterday we had such a catastrophic diaper malfunction that the baby not only blasted out of the diaper, but soaked through a fleece sleep sack and then soaked the pack and play sheets in a puddle underneath. All hail waterproof PNP sheets. I’m constantly amazed by how much waste can come out of such a tiny body.

Vaccine stuff is one area that really shows you a new side of people that you thought you already knew well. We had people who balked that I would have expected to be totally cool with it, and people who didn’t hesitate who I would have expected to flat-out refuse. I’m glad that the people in your life who refused were willing to accept pictures until your LO gets older and gets his vaccines. And as for FAB, well...pineapple.

Our owlet didn’t get purchased off the registry either. We went with a refurbished owlet (which was $199 instead of $299), and then stacked that with the amazon registry completion discount, bringing it down to $169 total instead of $299. It looks like it the refurbished one isn’t currently available on Amazon, but they do still have it listed on the Owlet website for $199. We had asked the NICU doctor/nurses about it, and they pretty much said “either it’ll work REALLY well for you at easing your anxiety, or it’ll make things so much worse. You’re welcome to try it if you want to, but you won’t know which one it is unless/until you try it.” I figured that if it made me more anxious, I could always return it within the 45-day return window and get our money back. I actually kept it in the box for the first week or so at home, until the night I kept waking up panicked that I couldn’t hear the baby breathing, and then realized I couldn’t see the baby’s chest moving in the dark in the bassinet (tiny chest, tiny movements), and trying to put my hand on his chest to tell, and then still couldn’t tell, and ended up shining my cell phone light on him to see if he was breathing, which showed that he was, but then that woke him up, and it took forever to get him back to sleep, at which point I dozed off, and then woke up panicked again - rinse and repeat allllll night. I took the owlet out of its box the next day. I keep it on the nightstand in a direct line of sight from my pillow so that when I open my eyes, I can see the green ring glowing really softly, and know immediately that the baby is okay. I feel embarrassed writing all that out, but PPA is a hell of a thing, and sometimes just talking about it helps normalize it a bit. I’ve thought about the owlet camera before, and think that they actually sent out a $50 off code for people who already had the sock (maybe they have something similar for people who already have the camera?). What do you like most about the camera?

Good luck with your second session of therapy. Sometimes talking helps, sometimes meds help, and sometimes they can refer you to other resources you hadn’t even thought of. I hope it goes really well for you.

Adding a pineapple to the registry sounds excellent. Apparently Amazon even has convincing fake ones. Who knew?

Italian ruscus--it's pretty expensive, usually starts around $2 per stem minimum. It might be worth it to look at faux options or add another more affordable greenery as supplement.

Amazon:

Fifty flowers:

https://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/italian-ruscus-greenery.htm

With 50 flowers you get 25-40 stems for $79.99 (5 bunches of 5-8 stems), if you have 10 tables that's enough for 2.5 per table at minimum which j think is doable.

I searched on amazon really quick and came up with Afloral Box of 200 - Bulk Preserved Magnolia Leaves in Dark Green https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B42BKBP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bDVrDb33YA4F0

Seemed like the best option. I’ve gotten greenery on amazon though and it turned out pretty well! If you’re worried read what the return policy is on them before you buy.

So - apologies for the length on this. My wedding is in December, about 150 people, with 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen.

I couldn't capture how truly wonderful these came out. One of my bridesmaids got started on the smaller bouquets and then did my big waterfall bouquet. My fiance helped with the corsages and boutonnieres. The grand total for everything - welcome sign, flowers, centerpieces, all came in under $450 and I'm super proud of finishing it up. I'll try to detail what I can and post links to places where I got flowers if someone asks!

Bridal Bouquet

I cannot take any credit for this - one of my bridesmaids had the vision and rolled with it. We bought peonies ($36), eucalyptus ($40), calla lillies ($40), and roses ($60) on Amazon. The last little bit of wispy flower at the bottom was a last minute buy at Michael's using a 50% coupon for $2.50. The roses are incredibly realistic and the full stems helped fill out the holders.

A florist would have certainly charged more than $400 just for something this size with the peonies. Similarly sized arrangements on Etsy were about $300-$350. And the flowers I bought for this leftover made all of the bridesmaid bouquets and misc arrangements!

Same flowers as the bridal bouquet! We also used a lot of floral tape ($3, coupon), ribbon ($5, after Christmas sale), and floral wire from the stems of roses that I used on the centerpieces.

Corsages and Boutonnieres

https://imgur.com/15aTilR

These were so easy! I took leaves from the rose a peony bundles, then ordered some extra baby's breath ($13, Amazon). Wrapped with floral tape and some ribbon I got on a 50% sale at Hobby Lobby. My fiance did most of the boutonnieres and he was pretty proud of himself.

Welcome Sign

Got the mirror at a garage sale ($5, what a steal), had Mod Podge and glitter from the centerpieces. Exploring options of getting a friend with nice handwriting to write the welcome message, or buy a decal off of Etsy (<$25). My cat was needy today and wanted to be in every picture :)

Centerpieces

Low Light: https://imgur.com/4MmfiIE

This has a lot of details. I first bought the cheap 1-20 wood table numbers on Amazon ($20, I think), the Mod Podge ($8), Fine Glitter ($10, Michael's), and mod podged the crap out of the numbers and layered on the glitter. This took several hours between drying and doing.

We then stumbled upon a $40 deal on Facebook marketplace that included 20 8" vases, 200 Dinopure White Roses, 25 purple fairy lights, various glass stones and beads, and an LED candle set.

I built on this by buying 100 more roses ($40, Amazon), 24x 3" styrofoam balls ($30, Amazon), 2 packs water beads ($15, Amazon), and two colors of the vase mix of floating pearls (Etsy, $40).

I hot glues the roses to the styrofoam balls with enough room for it to still fit on top of the vase. I then wrapped the fairy lights around that, and hot glued the table number to the top.

The water beads and floating pearls are an easy set up. Let the beads swell for a couple hours, pour in the vase and in layers add the beads and stir. Topping off with water gives the floating effect.

This was all enough to make ~18 centerpieces, 1 bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 12 boutonnieres, 5 corsages, 1 welcome sign, and we're using leftover flowers, vases, plus running medals (my and my fiance's hobby) to round out the decorations. I already have frames ($35, Micheals on 75% off plus extra 20% off super sale) and shimmer paper that I will DIY print any other signs needed.

Absolutely! Here are just a couple that I ordered.

Calla Lily Artificial Flowers

Purple Calla Lily

Also, if you do go this route, sometimes they arrive a little flat. Ugh. But I found out you can run them under very hot water(some people even dip them in boiling water for a couple seconds) and they will open back up. I’m sure the same works with any type, not just these calla lillies!

Amazon! These are the ones I bought, but any fake ones work as long as they aren't sharp (some in the set are, it's pretty obvious just by touch and appearance). I just wash them very well, and then I stabbed them into the styrofoam backdrop to add some upper decor and something he could rest on!

I got them on Amazon (smile links below)

u/shebazz42 · 2 pointsr/homeautomation

Well, first off, that's an anecdote. Second off, knowing you are somewhere that has previously bought fake vine walls should be enough info to advertise them to you. They don't need to listen to you talking about them. It is very spooky, but you have to remember how much other information they have about you and everyone around you and the businesses you visit. You're not in a bubble.

Edit: now I'm curious about these fake vine walls. Link?

Edit 2: fine, I'll just find them myself: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZ8MVPT/ I'm kind of meh on them, to be honest.

u/izyarnold · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

I originally bought these to use to make a flower wall. I received them and they look and feel great you can hardly tell they’re fake! White ones are 50 for $25.99 and they have so many other colors! There’s photos in my fake flower post if you want to look at them ☺️ I found a bunch of cheap flowers on amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G9TW3PQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_5WCNBbP4SKTZ0

It depends on what color you prefer and matches

I think a nice Blue like this or an Orange like this fits the job nicely.

Personally once my family moves i plan on using this Hoping my interior design looks good considering id like to have this as a sort of skill before I go into college and then start living on my own and stuff

EDIT: Fixed the links

Thank you! I didn't have quite enough of the roses or eucalyptus to do all 12 bottles (only 9 with all floral pieces) so the others 3 just have the tea roses. We only have 6 guest tables though so it works out fine!
