You can typically find Chinese brands like this with Google image search. It will be the same photos and sold under various names.

Thanks!

And yeah, that’s a phone holder, even branded as Ninebot:
https://www.amazon.com/SPEDWHEL-Original-NINEBOT-Electric-Scooter/dp/B07MZMC6XV

There’s also a bag in the front, Ninebot branded as well: https://www.amazon.com/Segway-Ninebot-Waterproof-Electric-Scooters/dp/B07VCYR9XS (although this looks the same and is cheaper: https://www.amazon.com/Seway-Scooter-Storage-Electric-Compatible/dp/B07HS2W9JT)

Here’s how it looks: https://imgur.com/a/p83gjMO

Inside, I carry (among other things) a Bluetooth speaker so I can listen to music while I ride, as headphones don’t fit well into my helmet. Just leave it a bit unzipped so the sound can get out, and you’re set.

As for the helmet (not an accessory but it’s “on” the scooter here), it’s a TLD Stage: https://www.rei.com/product/144603/troy-lee-designs-stage-mips-bike-helmet

There’s also a really cleverly-designed bell that uses up very little space: https://www.rei.com/product/153660/knog-oi-luxe-bike-bell (or a budget version here: https://www.rei.com/product/116796/knog-oi-bike-bell)

Here’s how it looks: https://imgur.com/a/dQ0lOit

You just have to make sure it’s rotated high enough so that it doesn’t interfere with your throttle lever.

And finally, a light (because my scooter suffers from the electrical issue where turning on the built-in headlight triggers the brake):

I’ve got it mounted vertically instead of sideways like in the promo pictures, and it looks a lot better that way.

What about something like this?

The Velcro straps should allow you to affix it to your case.

Or try asking other players if they have an old single case they are willing to give you / give the pouch off of. I’ve received free single cases w a cue purchase before, there’s a chance someone has something extra collecting dust in a closet.

What do you guys recommend for a saddle bag? Currently have this and like the size, but after 5 years the zipper pull broke off and the straps are almost worn through. I like the size and fit but was wondering if there's something better.

I carry 1 tube, patch kit, 1 CO2 and nozzle, quick link, multi tool, 3 park tool levers, and my keys (alternate between in the bag or in my pocket).

I've done credit card touring (staying in hotels) for 4-7 days. Couple of tips for you:

  1. Don't use google maps for cycling in the U.K. The routing is terrible.
  2. RideWithGPS is popular phone app that lets you preplan the route and gives you turn by turn instructions (but you HAVE to prepare the route in advance, you cant create route within app).
  3. You'll need a power pack for your phone to last the day if you're using it for navigation.
  4. I used this style of cheap phone mount https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00RTJIGP6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MoARzb68APF6D it's not pretty, but the phone won't shake loose and it has room for power pack and keys etc. It has Velcro straps to hold onto the handlebars.
  5. Obviously make sure you take tools/spares. Tubes,tire levers,pump as a minimum.

Pretty stoked on how it’s turned out!

Probably 3-4 hours in total to build and about £400 for the conversion.

This leather frame handle might help with carrying it up stairs.

u/concussion962 · 2 pointsr/triathlon

My phone usually goes in my jersey pocket...

That said, my dad uses a bento-box style case for his phone that hes pretty happy with. You could also go with something like Quadlock.

However, be warned that phones aren't legal USAT (or WTC) equipment (not sure about other governing bodies), so you can't use it in races.

u/melvinrdrgz · 2 pointsr/FixedGearBicycle

It’s a very inexpensive one that I found on Amazon. I did a search just now for “b soul frame bag” and discovered that you can order it for half the price of what I paid for ($8) if you order this one that doesn’t ship with Prime.

u/doesmyusernamematter · 2 pointsr/bikepacking

I bought this, and so far it seems pretty nice. I have nothing to compare it to because it's my first go at bikepacking gear, but I like it and it worked great on my first trip.

Fellow 1.60ish person here. This is the setup of my last tour: <https://imgur.com/a/N7S8xf6>

Frame, top tube and stem bags are DIY. On the front is the sleeping bag, -pad and tent in drybags in a Roswheel harness. On top is also electronics and valuables in the beige fanny bag. On the back is a 10l saddlebag with clothes, cooking kit and some food. The blue drybag on top has extra food and packaging supplies for flying home again.

With a larger saddle bag and in warmer areas with better supply options you might get away with a smaller sleeping bag and eliminate some of the bulk upfront and the extra food bag.

I had one where the phone mounts in it but I have hit bumps where the phone popped out of the mount and cracked my screen when it hit the ground. So I went with one of these, at least when/if it comes off the whole housing falls and doesn’t break the phone.

Bike shorts can help, but 8 miles is right around where they’re not worth the hassle of changing once I get to work for me. Depending on the bike, you may look at a saddle upgrade. The stock saddle on my FX was too soft and I upgraded to a $35 WTB saddle that made it easier to be on my sit bones even without bike shorts. I’d give it a couple weeks to get used to it first though. If you don’t mind changing at work, a pair of bike shorts are nice. I used wear a pair of road bike shorts under my dress clothes when I could change in my closed office. I stopped when our layout changed to and I had to change in the restroom.

There are lots of bike mounts available for your phone, mine goes in a small Timbuktu top bar bag I have, but mostly really just goes in my pocket unless I need directions.

I don’t have a mirror. You may find it easier to be aware as you do it more. There are good side mirror options for relatively cheap too, you shouldn’t need to spend much. I’d think the ones that mound to the handlebars would be better than those tiny ones that mount to your helmet.

Edit: link to the saddle for my commuter.

Top tube bag is along these lines, but more compact. I mostly only use it when I need directions and not for my regular commute.

I know people say phones are "waterproof" but personally I still like not getting my electronics wet if possible:

Amazon, the scrambler has a weird frame so I had to finagle the velcro straps to make them stay on but It's a great bag and it fits large phones too.

Had a shitty hard plastic clamp type holder a few years back that ... wasn't great so I avoided them til a month ago, when my fiancee showed up at home with two of these and it's worked great all month. The soft rubber absorbs any shock pretty well.

Good luck!

Personally, I love my Topeak phone cases. My everyday phone case is the Ride Case, and I swap it out for the Weatherproof Ride Case in wet weather. Both cases feel rock solid on the bike, and I've never been worried about them coming loose.

That said, these cases are only for specific models of phones. For anything that's waterproof, you're normally going to have to get something for the specific model phone you have, or get something like a Dry bag to slip it in. But those get condensation on the screen covers, fit poorly, and you lose a lot of usability on your phone, so I prefer to avoid them.

What phone do you have?

I use this almost daily in a road bike and it works great, even has space to put a battery pack in: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KADECJM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_J31NwbYQ300MA
