I WAS GONNA POST THIS TOO. I've been taking the oil for a little longer than you after some unsolicited advice from a customer haha. It has like the worst aftertaste ever but it's totally worth it. Glad it's working for you too!

The link to the oil I've been using:

Amazing herbs. Always go for the liquid or pure powder option if you can, it's way cheaper.

Here's one: Black Seed Oil - 120 Softgel Capsules (Non-GMO & Vegetarian) Premium Cold-Pressed Nigella Sativa Producing Pure Black Cumin Seed Oil with Vitamin E - Made in The USA - 500mg Each, 1000mg Per Serving https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0714PK8VV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_KDuDDb1XEY8VX

I have started taking its seed powder at a dose of 400mg x2. You can find some user reviews for its products on Amazon, e.g. one by Swanson.

For a more serious effect, one may take a higher dose, surely at least up to two grams of seed powder a day, or just add its essential oil instead which is more potent. It's unfortunate that a standardized extract for thymoquinone is not available.

Clobazam can be remarkably effective for anxiolysis at just 5-10mg. Try dropping to 20-25mg and see if it’s not just as effective. I’d cross-taper with pregabalin to stretch out the clobazam, cause I find it effective at a mere 5mg (2.5mg b.i.d). Also, acquire black cumin seed oil right the fuck now.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Does the brand actually matter you think?

The Aussie brand has hipster packaging and some certifications but is £7 per 50ml - while this less-attractive, airy fairy, relgiousy brand is about £6 for 100ml. So it's cheaper and double the size.
Even if the hipster brand is, in fact, more potent could it really be more than double the potentency of the aforementioned brand (to account for the huge price difference) or are we all just suckers for good marketing?

Yes! As long as I continue with the daily regiment, it's keeping the rash at bay. I did miss one day, or evening (can't remember exactly), and I noticed a few new bumps. The original rash was scattered across my entire side/front of my torso (I had it BAD). Now it's reduced to discolored skin, that should fade away with time!

I bought some, but when I take it there is a nasty aftertaste in my mouth for about 6 hours afterward, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is on my breath it is so strong. Does your brand leave the insanely strong aftertaste mine does?

My personal opinion since Black Seed Oil helped me immensely is to buy The Blessed Seed Strong Edition, this lists the Thymoquinone content on the bottle >

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Blessed-Seed-Strong-Pressed-Black/dp/B01AC9LP7K/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1496349126&sr=8-1&keywords=the+blessed+seed

If you can't afford that then Iman also worked for me but I think it's less potent after comparing the two >

Sure thing! It can cause a marked fall in BP, make sure to do your researxh and start out small.

You will also have somehwat weird smelling burps for a bit. I don't mind them at all, they smell lile black pepper. If they smell rancid or rotten you got bad quality oil.

I like this kind: Amazing Herbs Premium Black Seed Oil Soft-Gels, 60 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017KQZC6I?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I appreciate your advice. I looked into it a little bit, ad ordered this brand from Amazon.

Also tried Rhodilia Rosea first time today bit too soon to tell if there's a benefit

u/boatsnprose · 1 pointr/Nootropics

I've tried both and the caps are just oil in capsule form, so it's still practically the exact same thing. I prefer caps and I got them from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0714PK8VV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's actually even a lot cheaper than I remember.

I'm in the states XD

I'm just worried about wasting money on a product and it not working because it's not quality.

I tried turmeric or curcumin/piperine:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBA8DZF/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_04bdzbMYGHFQ0

.. and didn't notice any difference in my burn.

Then I tried agmatine:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PZ5WXWI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_a8bdzbQTE3RF7

... and didn't notice much change in tolerance or potentiation but I did notice it was affecting my SSRI antidepressant almost boosting it so I stopped taking it.

I'm just trying to find something to give my burns that little extra kick when I need it. The only other supplements I've found are BSO and Cats Claw. Just wary of wasting more money but BSO seems promising based on the reviews I've read. I'm not worried about the taste I use to take oregano oil and that stuff was harsh lol.

Thanks again for the insight. I may just try the 1 oz version for $8.49 as a add on item next time I purchase something

That seller sucks, ships without packaging and half the people get a broken bottle they have to return. Great price though. Amazon has a couple they sell but no premium. Amazing herbs website is another place you can purchase it.

Update! I bought this from Whole Foods in their Whole Body (supplement/probiotic) section. I'm applying the oil to the affected area as needed throughout the day and taking it orally (1 teaspoon twice a day). It hasn't even been 24 hours and I can already notice a marked difference. Hoping to stick with it and see results!

You can also get it in 500mg (or 1025mg) capsules if you don't want to drink it.

u/srubek · 1 pointr/Nootropics

Have you tried regular cold-pressed oil vs. an essential oil? I only link these because I know and trust these vendors/brands, and that they all do lab testing on their products (in fact for this reason I exclusively use RMO for my essential oils)..

Amazingherbs is one of the big reputed brands that people use. Pipingrock is another more affordable good one, but i didn't see any on amazon.ca (i didn't search for pipingrock specifically, just black seed oil.) -- you might be able to find it if you search for it.

Dude! I have suffered from Allergies all my life and over the last few years I've notice that the meds available over or behind the counter have become increasingly less effective in helping me deal with an allergy attack, especially during peak season. I don’t know why but it was becoming a concern. Then, last year I discovered Black Seed Oil. I cannot begin to tell you how much a teaspoon of this stuff once or twice a day has helped in alleviating my problems associated with allergies. Suffice to say, I was able to get through the year without needing to purchase any of the above mentioned allergy meds. Something to consider...

You can find out more about Black See Oil here:

And you can find it on Amazon here:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Seed-Oil-8oz-Ounces/dp/B0009EYIQ4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1300078968&sr=8-2

Hope that helps!

Your post reminded me to buy some to try. It certainly can't hurt. My rash has been ongoing for three months. Some days are better than others but when its bad its unbearable.

u/cd2020s · 1 pointr/Nootropics

So I'm gonna guess this Black Seed Oil by Amazing Herbs - 1 oz https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0006ZF1GW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iT5mzb35M0BM6 is probably crap? Lol trying to find something more affordable

For toxic cleaning you have to get real about your diet. You'll have to stop eating toxic and inflammatory foods (meat and dairy). What I also use to help clean toxins, inflammation, which also helps with anxiety is Black Seed Oil

It helps clean your colon.

You drink water, stop eating the bad foods and take black seed oil and magnesium and you'll feel A LOT better. Hope this helps you. I think I'm going to do a video later about my road healing my anxiety. I'll link it here when I do.
