My first guess is that he/she used an ice maker

Getting the grass ready for the tincture:

***

  • Picked up a half-ounce of Blue Cheese indica yesterday afternoon
  • Ground it up finely.
  • Spread it out evenly over a glass baking pan, cover the pan with foil and put it on the middle rack of a 250f degree, pre-heated oven for 30 minutes to decarb.
  • After cooling I crushed up decarb'd grass to almost a powdery consistency.

    For the tincture:

    ***

  • I put the powdered, decarb'd Blue Cheese in a 1 quart mason jar (jars with measure lines are immensely helpful) and poured in 190 proof Everclear grain alcohol until it covered the grass in the jar by about an inch.
  • Put the lid on the jar and let soak until the next morning. While waiting shake the jar vigorously and often during the evening/night.

SAFETY TIP -- Perform the following steps only in a very well ventilated area and away from any ignition sources.

  • In the morning I put water in a medium sauce pan, took the lid off the jar put the jar in the water. Make sure the water in the pan is up to the level of the alcohol/grass mixture in the jar.
  • Turn on the electric burner (don't try this on an open flame stove top) for the pan to medium-low. Using a candy thermometer as a guide, raise/lower the temp on the burner until the alcohol/grass mixture in the jar is a steady 170f. The alcohol/grass mixture should be simmering lightly.
  • Stir the mixture frequently and reduce the volume of alcohol in the jar by about half (roughly 1 hour).

SAFETY TIP -- The hot alcohol vapor escaping the jar is invisible and extremely painful if touched. Keep face and hands away.

  • Take the jar out of the water and strain the leafy material out the alcohol mixture using a cheese cloth and discard. Return the strained alcohol to the jar.
  • Put the jar back in the bath, stirring often, and continue to reduce until you're left with about with about 65ml (roughly 4.5 tablespoons) in the jar. The overwhelming alcohol smell should be mostly gone from the mixture and it should be ever-so-slightly thickened.
  • Remove jar from the water bath and allow to cool with the lid off.

    On to the gummies:

    ***

  • (2) 3oz packages of flavored gelatin
  • (2) 0.25oz packages of unflavored gelatin
  • 2/3rds cup cold water
  • 1-2 tablespoons of tincture, depending on desired potency.
  • Mix the ingredients over medium heat with a silicon spatula in a non-stick sauce pan until it is completely liquefied (2-3 minutes).
  • Pour the mixture from the sauce pain into a glass measuring cup for easier pouring.
  • Pour the mixture into a silicon candy mold. I used this one.
  • Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Remove from molds and let set. The gummies are going to be sticky after cooling, so set them on some parchment paper and let them come to room temperature. They should be easily handled at that point.

Since it was my first time doing this I went with different levels of tincture per flavor of gummies. 1 tablespoon in the (Jolly Rancher brand) Green Apple, 1.5 tablespoons in the (Jell-O brand) Mango and 2 tablespoons in the (Jell-O brand) Cherry Lemonade.

More and smaller cavities takes more time to fill. Some people use a condiment dispenser or a turkey baster. I think that's a good idea because by the time I was done using the eyedropper included with those, the gelatin was starting to clump.

Okay, so a while ago I said I was going to make a gummy bear tutorial and I never did so I thought it was about time I at least made a write up for them. This recipe will get you right around 200 gummy bears.

Tools:

  • Small non stick pot with a lid
  • medium non stick pot
  • 60ml Syringe - Here
  • stiff silicone spatula - Here
  • 2 small pyrex dishes - Here
  • Candy theremometer - Here
  • Fork to stir with
  • Gummy bear molds (or any other you like) - Here I also just found these
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Strainer - Here
  • Medium/large bowl
  • Partchment paper
  • A few large tupperware containers
  • Dram droppers for the flavorings - Here

    Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Jello (85 grams if you have a scale) in the flavor of gummies you want
  • LorAnn oils concentrated flavorings - Here
  • LorAnns oils mold Inhibitor - Here
  • LorAnns oils Preserve-it Antioxidant - Here
  • 5 Tbsp plain gelatin powder - low quality / less chewie here High quality / more chewie here
  • 1 tsp of Soy lecthin powder - Here
  • 1/2 cup of Real Fruit juice of the flavor you want to make, get creative here, needs to be cold. Cold water can also be used but the flavor is not as good.
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Glycerin - Here
  • 6 grams of Concentrates (AKA: BHO, Shatter, Wax, Oil, Hash oil, etc)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
  • Cornstartch

    Decarbing

Pre-heat your oven to 250F - 260F, use the digital theremometer to keep an eye on the temp to make sure it stays around there and does not get above 260F. I like to place my concentrates into the small pyrex dish and decarb in that. Put the dish with your concentrates in the oven for 30 minutes. You can check it around the 30 minute mark and see if it is fully decarbed. Look for it to be pretty clear of all little "carbination" like bubbles. When those are mostly gone you are done decarbing. It will take around 30 minutes. Go a little longer if you want couch lock / sleepy time gummies.

When it is done decarbing pull it out and set it to the side for a minute.

    Infusing the coconut oil

Grab your medium sized pot and put a few inches of water in it. get it to a boil then turn the temp all the way down to a very low heat. When the water is ready place your dish with the freshly decarbed oil into the water bath and add the 1 Tbsp of coconut oil to the dish.

Let the two mix for a few minutes until they are nicely combined. It shouldn't take long maybe 10 minutes max.

    Grease your molds

At this point if you dont have silicone molds (I do and I still grease mine for precautions) grease your molds so you don't forget to do it before adding your gummies.

    Preping fruit juice (or water)

In the second small pyrex dish pour your real fruit juice / water or whatever base liquid you are using for your gummies. I havent tried much besides fruit juice and water but you can experiment with other liquids, but don't do an experiment on a batch with THC in it just in case something doesn't work out.

To the fruit juice / water add 1 tsp of soy lecthin and stir with the fork. Place the dish in the fridge for 5 minutes or so and stir again. Let it sit in the fridge stirring occasionaly until the soy lecthin is fully desolved.

This liquid mixture NEEDS TO BE COLD for the blooming process to work so make sure to keep it cold.

    Mixing the dry ingredients

In your small non-stick pot mix the following together: 85 grams of Jello, 5 Tbsp of Gelatin, 1/4 cup of sugar. Completely mix them all together and dont let any of them get wet yet. Stir and stir until they are completely mixed.

    Blooming

Take your mixed dry ingredients and pour in your friut juice (water) soy lecthin mixture. Stir it and get everything evenly mixed and make sure there are no lumps. When everything is evenly mixed place the lid on the small pot and let it sit for 10 minutes.

This is called "blooming" the gelatin and allows the gelatin to absorbe the water. The water needs to be cold because gelatin activates at about 120F and after that will start to set when it cools. We don't want it setting right now.

u/iovio · 5 pointsr/food

Most likely made from this thing.

u/Her_Excellency · 5 pointsr/ketorecipes

I personally use the recipe I found here:
https://stepawayfromthecarbs.com/keto-low-carb-gummy-bears/

It’s just a packet of sugar free jell-o, a packet of unflavored gelatin, and water.

I got one of these as a house warming gift:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EY81OPO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522154683&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gummy+maker&dpPl=1&dpID=51siz3NjxKL&ref=plSrch

So I use that to make them. I tend to add a little more water than the recipe and just fill the cup that comes with the gummy kit.

/u/TrashyTripod & /u/gotsmile, you guys are going to laugh at how easy this is.

There are recipes online. Do a little googling about what soap ingredients have different effects, like I did a rose oil (omg, the scent!) and rose clay soap, which is good for skin, or honey and oatmeal which is more exfoliation. Some are better for dry skin, oily skin, or just neutral.

I buy everything from Amazon:

  • Molds: gems, bars, fun small shapes

  • Melt and pour soap base: honey, goat's milk. I'm picky and I only buy the organic stuff. Buy it sooner rather than later, it will sell out by the holidays! Learned that the hard way, last year.

  • Mix-ins: oatmeal, activated charcoal. You want everything to be food-grade.

    ------------

    How To

The soap base breaks apart into 1 inch cubes. In a microwave safe measuring cup, microwave 2-4 cubes in 30 second increments until melted. Stir in any oils, perfumes, or colorants (although I avoid coloring soap, personally; I like the 'natural' stuff). Pour the appropriate amount into your mold. Working quickly, in the soap-filled mold, stir in any large add-ins, like charcoal or oatmeal. Wipe down the measuring cup, repeat as necessary.

Leave the mold out at room temperature to set. Give it time (6-24 hours). Gently remove from the mold and wrap in cling wrap to avoid moisture beads from forming. Later, put the plastic-wrapped soaps in a little goody bag with a piece of colorful tissue paper. FYI, the tissue paper will stick to the soap if they touch.

    --------

    Tips:

  • Learn from my mistake: when you're done, wash the measuring cup and molds by hand. If you put them in a dishwasher, it will become coated in soap. This kills the dishwasher.

  • Buy 2 molds. Make a batch in the morning and again in the evening. If you use the bar mold, that gives you 12 bars per mold x 2 molds x 2 times in a day, or 48 bars for ~3 hours of work on a Saturday. You'll get faster as you get the hang of it.

  • How much soap base you need depends on the size of your molds and how many soaps you're making. I found that 2 lbs of soap base was enough for about 16 bars using this mold. But I didn't really like the shape of the soap in that mold because it was too deep.

  • If you're using heavy or large add-ins, it pays to let the soap solidify for a second before mixing them in, or it'll all sink to the bottom.

  • It's fun to combine with other homemade cosmetics gifts, like DIY lip balm or something, but that requires a whole other set of materials, so increases your costs.

Thank you :). I just used the molds from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VPW0V8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was the first time I used it and could not fill it properly. They still came out pretty good. Re: whey protein, I am not really sure of all the details. I checked the nutrition when I was buying from a bulk section and it was low carb. But you might want to look at /u/DonkeyKongSenior 's recommendation of using heavy cream powder. That might be a good alternative too.

second, if I follow the recipe you used for your blue sour watermelon gummies and used these molds is the 10mg accurate for that recipe with these molds?

You're using the exact method I wanted to try (coconut oil gummies) and I'm looking to target 5mg and 10mg so you're help would be perfect

I got this for Christmas last year, and have used it tons of times! I follow the recipe inside, just using sugar free jello. I believe it was one flavored sugar free jello, five unflavored gelatin for regular gummies (I don't remember how much water), for regular gummies, and 1/2 a powdered drink mix packet - for sour gummies. So many combinations can be made.. and it's really worth it to have keto gummies. They also have a recipe for gummy vitamins included with it.

I make rso chocolates! They are delicious and rso is ready to eat.

Ingredients

1 pkg Ghirardeli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers

https://www.target.com/p/ghirardelli-dark-chocolate-melting-wafers-10oz/-/A-14919573

1 g syringe RSO

Equipment:

Silicon molds
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XQZ12NH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Double boiler or a saucepan with a heat resistant (Pyrex) bowl.

I use the saucepan method.

Fill saucepan with 1-2 inches of water. Place bowl into saucepan. Bring water to simmer/low boil over low heat. Don’t scorch the chocolate with too much heat Remember you are not cooking it, so just enough to melt the chocolate.

More details with pictures on the double boiler and how to use it:
https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-to-melt-chocolate-without-a-double-boiler/

While I am letting the water warm up, I place a cup of water in the microwave for 2 minutes.

After my water starts warming up, I put the chocolate in the bowl of my improvised double boiler.

Pull the cup out of the microwave.

Place rso in hot cup of water. DO NOT OPEN Use the plastic piece to suspend syringe into cup. Or just lean it against the inside of the cup.

Use a spoon to stir chocolate as it melts. Once melted, add RSO. Stir until thoroughly combined.

I place my molds on a cutting board and put them next to my chocolate and use the spoon to fill them. I pick them up and drop them from an inch or two onto the board to smooth them out after they are full.

Transfer entire board to refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Pop chocolates out of molds!

Get high as fuuuuuck!

I also used distillate to make white chocolate.

> They argue equality when they want paternity leave, and difference when they want to be paid more prize money for sports.

I call this BS. Who do you think gets paid more sponsor money? The male figure skater or the female? Who attracts more attention? There you go! Same goes with porn.

> The equality and difference argument is banal. Equality would be cruel to men if they were treated equal to women: men’s genitals would be sliced up, annual rape of men would increase from 9,000 to 69,000, male prostitution would soar, men’s penises would be sprawled across page 3, men would stroll down the catwalk with their penises hanging out, and the Labour Party would roll out pink vans to attract women voters and blue vans to entice male voters.

  • Men's genitals are sliced up more often in the US, then female genitals. Female genitals are almost always sliced up due to the individual female's decision. Male genitals are almost always sliced up without the consent of the individual male. Without anesthesia mostly.

  • Since there is no such sentence as "being raped", inmates are victims of rape too, since their sentence is confinement and not rape. They are simply less valued members of the society, so very few people care.

  • Why would male prostitution soar, if it is easier for women to find a sex partner?

  • Try to ask it in /r/AskMen how many men would feel offended if women complimented to their ass/face/chest/dick? I can assure you there would be an ad in a month about a lotion for swollen cocks.

    > Equality is harmful to women and most men, as they are required to replicate behaviours that are degrading and dehumanising. Once women buy into the masculine terms of society, our civilization will become crueler than ever expected.

    > Men hold the balance of power. Power is granted in the wrong ways, and used for the wrong ends. Change can come about by redefining and redistributing power, breaking down hierarchal structures, and reevaluating the criteria designed by men.

I’ve been using the Wilton Candy Melts candy melting pot for a couple of years now and it has never let me down. It has a removable silicone pot and two temp modes, 110F & 140F. I have run it continuously for up to 24 hours with no issue and the temp is very stable. I see no reason why it couldn’t run longer than 24 hours, I just haven’t had the need.

Here's what you can do;

  • Buy cbd isolate
  • Buy a gummy candy mold (just an example)
  • Find a gummy bear recipe online (again, just an example)
  • Buy the ingredients for your gummy bears
  • Make gummy candy and add some of your CBD isolate to the recipe.

This is just an example for gummy type of edibles, you can make all sort of other stuff and add your cbd to it in the process.
