Actually, we used to have this problem until we got beds with "back support."

Check out the ones we got on Amazon. The dogs literally will come upstairs from the couches to use their beds. I think having a place to rest their heads or snuggle against made the difference.

I know. I'm typically a dog person but this cat needed to be in my life. I think the cat owns more things than I do at this point.

Something like that. She can rub up against it, and it essentially feels the same as rubbing against you or getting pet. Focus on toys that you don't need to provide the stimulation. There are some toys that have a motion censor that will shine the laser when the cat is near.

This seems reasonably priced, and the dog seems large enough to drag it to you when a fainting fit comes on.

The heating pad was a K&H 40W Outdoor Pad, though it looks like they've gone up in price pretty significantly recently, it was less than $40 when I bought it. Might be cheaper in the off-season or something.

Incidentally they now also seem to carry an actual heated/insulated shelter for not much more. Though it comes with the smaller 20W pad not the larger 40W.

Edit: Looks like the doggy versions are still somewhat cheap, oddly enough. Those may get too hot though.

Get a covered bed like this so she's got a warm place to sleep but otherwise I'd avoid jackets for inside. If you think she really needs a jacket then try a teeshirt or something.

It is important to keep your bunny warm! Their ideal temps are higher 60s to mid 70s. But it is ok.. you can keep her warm even in a cold house.

try offering her a heat pack (wrap it in cloth to ensure she does not chew) in her enclosure, in addition you can try putting in there a couple bottles with warm water for her to snuggle to. Also make sure she has a warm floor with a cozy fleece on it. If you have tile try some interlocking foam mats for insulation and a cozy blanket on top. Using catnip or catnip oil will make it more attractive to her. I can't guarantee that she'll never scratch the furniture, but most cats prefer things like this that have a better texture for scratching.

Owning two cats is really in many ways easier than owning one. They become lower maintenance. Of course you have to spend slightly more time feeding, cleaning the litterbox, grooming etc, but the cats are happeir, better behaved, and much more pleasant to spend time with, which in my opinion is worth the small amount of extra effort.

Lately I'm into Say Anything.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember loosing my childhood dog who I'd had for since I was 3 and I was devastated. I'll be sending hopes of comfort your way and just remember you gave her an amazing life... seriously look at those pictures you posted. That dog is happy in every single one of them. You're an amazing puppy mommy and I know it's super tough it feels like a piece of you is gone and isn't coming back. But I always found comfort in knowing I loved that dog so much :) I hope you can find the same comfort in knowing that.

She was severely abused by her previous owners to the point where she breathes really heavy and snores loudly. (From having her ribs kicked in) She also has dental deterioration from only being fed table scraps. But after going through all of that all she ever wants to do is cuddle up in my lap or in my arms (of course only if I'm petting her.) But it's so worth it!!!

I've had him for almost 3 years and he's still skittish but he's starting to come to me without me having to capture him. He was a breeding dog kept in really terrible conditions and it sucked. When I first got him and still had carpet if he got scared by me walking by or trying to catch him to take him out to the bathroom he would pee right where he was. I wish I had video taped it and compiled videos of him since I've had him to see how far he's come :) It's so freakin cool to see :)

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

I don't have a specific heated cat bed, but I have a contraption that my personal cat really likes in her window seat, so I can add one more "fluffy loves this 5 stars!!" useless review for ya. :P

This warmer under the inside cushion of this bed. Both are a bit more expensive than when I bought them a couple months back, but that's probably the holiday's fault and I bet they'll go back down soon. :)
