Guys this is catnip. Stop the witch hunt. If it's not home grown I'm willing to bet it's this: https://www.amazon.com/Meowijuana-Catnip-Purple-Passion-Large/dp/B00U6DJCR8

Notice the tiny white spots in the video and in my link

Not literal cookies but my cats love Temptations cat treats . That link is for the catnip flavor but they have others like seafood, salmon, chicken, etc. They’re also available at stores like Target & Walmart and also comes in smaller pouches, but the larger tub is a better buy for my greedy kitties :)

I had to take my cat off of Amazon when $500 worth of this stuff showed up at my door.

Poorly. I moved and switched from my awesome vet (before asthma kitty had many symptoms) to what turned out to be a horrid, awful, incompetent vet. Her lungs sounded "fine but not quite right" so they did a chest x-ray and scared the hell out of me with Heartworm Associated Lung Disease, then took 4 days to tell me the radiologists didn't think it was that. After that, they basically just guessed at things and threw meds at her until the prednisone stopped her cough (pretty much her only symptom) and said "OK, it must be asthma." But the prednisone triggered a horrible upper respiratory infection, flared up some pain from a previous injury, and totally changed her personality. They refused to listen to any of that, or that (per the site THEY GAVE ME) the preferred asthma treatment was an inhaler. At which point I fired them with prejudice, got the upper respiratory handled by a walk-in clinic who referred me to a specialist, specialist confirmed the asthma based on symptoms, chest x-rays, and response to medication. Also confirmed kitty was way, way overmedicated on the current prednisone dose, so getting her off that was a challenge. Once she was stable again, I went to a cats-only vet who was able to prescribe the inhaler and recommend a Canadian pharmacy to order from. /rant

The biggest challenge with the inhaler is that my girl hates the smell from it, and she is a big, strong cat (15lbs of muscle and claws and she'll happily use them.) She was OK with the AeroKat mask on its own, once the inhaler was applied she would run from it. I finally figured out I could lure her into the small bathroom with her favorite tuna treat and give her a bit of the treat, wipe some inside the inhaler mask, then brace her in the corner between me and the wall to dose the mask. Then I reward her afterwards with more of the treat paste. She's about 6 weeks into the inhaler treatment, and not only is her cough gone, her mood has improved and she isn't as sensitive about being touched along her ribs so I suspect she may have had some pain or irritation in her lungs from the whole mess.

All cats are different but in most cases even the picky ones will like wet food. Try heating it up just a bit so the smells come out. Have you tried the new filets they are selling as treats now? Most of them come individually wrapped in with plastic over mostly different variations of fish. It reminds me of the whole fish filets they sell for people. My cats all really like the salmon and tuna ones from fancy feast. Mine are also obsessed with canned whipped cream! It sounds weird but they love it. Be careful though because a lot of cats are lactose intolerant and can cause stomach upset. So just don’t give them a lot and watch for signs of that. If you don’t have the Cat Dancer brand toy you definitely need to get one. Every single one of my cats love that stupid little thing and it’s only like $1.77 on Amazon or Chewy. You can also try these squeeze up treats that have really good reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Delectables-Squeeze-Interactive-Wet-Treats/dp/B07TJF6F1Q/ref=zg_bsnr_2975311011_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=A5F8Q9NR4G49X9JVJZMX

I use clicker (same as my dog, I use "yes").
Just a word of caution: With cats, it takes a LOT of patience haha. Also, I did lots of yes-treat in her kitten-hood days.

So for giving paw, here is what I did:

  1. Get a treat that she likes. I use boiled chicken or temptation

  2. hold the treat at the shoulder level to your cat. Her natural response should be to paw at it. If she tried to get it with her mouth slightly back off. Wait for her to paw at it, immediately say yes and give her the treat.

  3. repeat many many times.

The hardest thing I taught muffin was lie down. I literally tried for a month, every day. I cried when she finally did it.

I know you've tried Blue Buffalo brand treats, but did you try Blue Wilderness specifically? My cat has never taken treats when she was out in public on her harness, especially from other people, until a nice lady at a little family-run pet store gave us a bag of the Chicken & Turkey treats for free and hand fed her one. I've seen those at about every pet store I've been to, I think, but I know for a fact that they have them at PetSmart.

My cat's favorite treats are probably the weird mushy liquidy ones like these brands, though?

The ones in the tubes are great if you want to train him, cause you can just squeeze a little bit out on the tube and let him lick that off and it's about as quick as feeding kibble-like treats.

And I've only gotten these for my cat once while we were on vacation in North Carolina (the only place I've seen them) but she LOVED them soo much.

My cat absolutely loved eating at my house plants so I got her one of these to put in the window she lays in. She really loves it : ) and it's supposed to be good for their stomachs but if your Cat is interested in plants you should get her her own for under $10

i brush my cats teeth, sometimes daily but sometimes i get busy and skip a couple of days. we use CET toothpaste and i think it probably tastes good for them. i started with my finger and moved up to a 360 toothbrush which i think she kinda hates but tolerates. i might switch toothbrushes soon, to something even smaller. my vet was super impressed by her teeth, she's going on 5 and hasn't needed anything done to them. by this age many cats have to be put under to get teeth cleanings.

i would not feed dental food. feeding kibble in general just isn't worth it, health wise. pick a product from the Veterinary Oral Health Council's approved product list. anything else is not proven and therefore questionable. the one i picked out was Purina Dentalife treats.

hope this helps!

It's from amazon! It was super easy and I just added some gel food coloring to a portion of the included frosting for decoration :) My tux was diving into it, tabby not so much.

I got these chew sticks/toys for my cats a while back and neither one of them even touched them or tried to sniff them. I gave a couple to a friend with a very chew-oriented cat and he also didn't pay them any mind. Not sure what other types are out there, but I would personally avoid these types of treats.

:D Aww - this is so sweet. I love kitties too and have two of my own.

I think this is pretty cool. My kitties would love it at least, they always want somewhere warm to lay :)

And something for under $10 that my kitties would like would be these temptations cat treats

I usually just have someone I know and trust to come in to hang out with them and feed/water them. I always feel a bit bad, but the person always does a great job.
I would love to get her some cat grass! It's a little over five dollars, but she has so many toys already. :/

-When I have to leave my kitty home alone for awhile, I pull his cat tree up right next to the window and I open the blinds so I know he'll have plenty to watch out the window.

-I leave the TV on low so he doesn't feel so alone.

-I use those cat toys on a stick and string, and I stick the stick part in things so that the toy is left hanging and bouncing around.

-I clear off tall surfaces because lets be real, if I'm not home he will sweep everything off for better perching.

-I make sure the kitty box is clean and the auto feeders are full.

-I give him obscene amounts of loves when I get back.

I would love to give him some [kitty grass] (http://www.amazon.com/Imperial-Cat-Easy-Grow-Grass/dp/B001132UCQ/ref=sr_1_72?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1393869083&sr=1-72&keywords=cat+grass) to munch on.
