Go to your local library and, if they have them, check out some classical music CDs. Stuff like "Heavy Classix" or anything baroque or operatic in minor keys, like the opening to Bach's "Little" Fugue in G Minor -- one of my personal faves, BTW -- are great. Or if you have a local college with a "Music Appreciation" or similar course, ask their library for a coursebook or just talk to the prof. They can point you in a good direction if you ask nicely.

The soundtrack to the movie Velvet Goldmine is on a pretty good rotation with me, has a lot of great stuff, you can listen to snippets here

As for songs in my head today, its been a Flaming Lips (Are you a Hypnotist?) and The Clash (Lost in the Supermarket) kind of day.

I am pretty sure I have stuff on both my lists under 5 bucks, im down for any kind of gift. Im easy to please :)

|name|Sweet|
|about artist|Sweet (referred to as The Sweet on albums before 1974 and singles before 1975) were a popular 1970s british band. Although Sweet were largely known for their glam rock image, and several hit singles — many of them being so-called teenage anthems — they also released several albums throughout a ten year career. The extent of Sweet's domination of the charts in Europe resulted in eight number one singles in Germany, with pop oriented tunes as "Co Co", "Little Willy", and "Wig Wam Bam". (more on last.fm)|

I'm not actually sure how common it is. My research tells me it's an import from the UK with a sku of 06949 05432 according to this website (scroll down). Mine is open so there is no barcode. I assume it was on the plastic wrap.

I was unable to find any eBay listings. There exists a standard black vinyl and this blue/white edition. I found a few on Amazon that private sellers are listing but some don't specify which edition they are. They range from $59.99 to $189.00. I also found another private seller listing one for $198.99 here.

I also found one here going for $251 from someone in France.

Edit: just wanted to clarify that how much a vinyl sells for doesn't equate rarity for me.
