LED tea lights that players switch on as a reminder that they're concentrating on a spell.

I think painted jars tend to look cheap. So I'm not a big fan of the paint. I'd just leave them clear.

I'd put the flowers in the jar and candles around the outside.

I like something like this for candles : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XPP95SY/

They're battery powered, so no fire risk. And they come with the wraps so they look nice.

Edit : actually, i would dump the jars entirely. Put the tree in the middle with flowers and candles around the outside. Or maybe alternate tables with a jar and a tree.

Most fake votives I’ve come across have a weird yellow hue, these ones actually look like real candlelight

Amazon sells a few options but I hope OP can recommend a specific listing since they can be hit or miss.

I haven't tried the ones I linked.

I unfortunately have had to retire from disc golf (quadruple spinal fusion) and had to sell most of my equipment to pay bills. One day, I may be able to play again!

This seems to be the best deal after doing some quick looking. This should be enough for at least 3 people playing, depending on how many discs you all want to play with. I am also a fan of the "flickering" LEDs because they help draw attention to themselves more than a constant light. You can easily see these from over 300' away. You will be amazed at the shelf life of this set up. 1 LED and 1 battery can last you a full season of playing. If your disc lands in water, IT WILL STAY ILLUMINATED!!!

I would just open up the bottom and remove the battery and use a pair of pliers to crack the "candle" casing on there and carefully remove the LED (light bulb). Make sure you don't break the two prongs connected the LED, you will use these to attach to the battery.

I would slide the two LED prongs around the battery (if it doesn't work, just flip the battery over) and wrap it tightly with a few inches of electrical tape. Now you are the owner of the world's easiest flashlight!

I preferred to tape my lights to the top of the disc, it slightly affects the flight path and makes your discs easier to turn over but it is very easy to compensate for. I would always use This tape to hold it onto the disc. It is extremely sticky and holds up great in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, trees). I have seen people use cheaper tape and it does not hold as well. The slightly higher price tag is very worth it! This tape has NEVER came off a disc unintentionally! A roll of tape will easily last a season or two.

I use the battery as my marker and set it on the dead center of the disc and put two pieces (roughly 6" each) of tape on there creating an X.

I have converted many people to the Light side using these LEDs. They are bright enough to see from a distance, but not so bright that they will destroy everyone's night vision every time you need to "glow up your discs".

For disassembly, I peel the tape off the disc (this is the hardest part of everything, proof of quality tape!), and then slide the LED out of the tape-wrapped battery. I keep the electric tape wrapped around the batteries to prevent the batteries from touching each other and shorting out. The first time you set this up, it is a slight pain and a learning process. It gets so much easier through repetition.

Now Glow-Forth and Throw!!!

If it’s simply a matter of representing the element of Fire on your altar, I just use matches!

If it’s specifically about the light source, though, electric candles are a good substitute.

If you’re looking to physically burn things (herbs and whatnot) discretely, get a small cauldron (after THOROUGHLY versing yourself on fire prevention and keeping a large jar of water on hand). You can make tiny chemical fires with rubbing alcohol and epsom salts (here’s how).

My one concern with soot or ashes is that they’ll just rub into your altar cloth or whatever, but if you have a small bowl for them, they should work just fine!

For me, it’s a matter of which aspect of Fire I want to honor.

Matches reflect the potential dynamic energy of Fire. A lit fire captures its active, transformative qualities. And ashes or soot would symbolize Fire’s cleansing, healing, destructive qualities.

Cute! I wonder if they are candle holders for tea lights? Too bad they are held down...

That makes more sense! No candles? Dang I love candles. OH WAIT..... check out these "candles"! I know they're pricey but dude, they look so real! FMIL gave us some as a Christmas present and I was like "uhhhh wut?" But got home, revved them up and they're AMAZING!

I bought these candles took out the remote and receiver. My Dad helped me solder everything together. Now I can’t wait to see the rest of the kit hooked up.

I'm really liking these guys. They look and feel like the real thing without messing with a flame. Came in super handy during a recent power outage so I bought more. Finding them handy basically as night lights all over the house, especially in the bathroom--the light isn't harsh so it makes a very very "calming" atmosphere :)

So I actually found these automatic fake candles that also kind of flicker. They’re cheap and I’m pretty happy with them. Most of the pumpkins I put out end of September so they’re still going. I just ordered more batteries just in case. Timer Candles, 12pcs PChero Battery Operated

I think the layout is fine

I'd replace the chairs by the sofa with swivel chairs. Gives you more flexibility. You can face the books, face the sofa, swivel all the way around and face the fireplace etc etc

Beyond that.

Ditch the small table where your coffee mugs are. Take those chairs and put them at the ends of the table and ditch the chairs you have their currently.

then, i'd take the picture that is on the floor the right of the bikes, and hang it on the wall above the fireplace as opposed to setting it on the ledge.

Then move London and Shanghai to the brick walls in between the windows.

Then wall mount the bikes and place the blue plant stand between them.

Lastly, adjust your track lighting. You may need to borrow a super duper high ladder, or rent one...but it will be worth it to have the light directed at your wall art and the shelves and maybe even kicked back at the dining room table.

And while you are up there...relamp them with warm white LED lamps and now you will never have to worry about them again.

And install a dimmer switch.

Lastly, get some LED candles. Maybe some of the Birch Bark ones You could have them on the mantle, the book shelves, the dining table, and maybe even some cool wall mount ones.

With dimmed track lighting and some LED candles, you could create a really nice ambiance of light
