Hey there! Just finished setting up the nursery and writing this from my hospital bed during the induction process. Loved seeing everyone's nurseries!

A few very smart humans before me said to decorate with things that you like or things that can live in the rest of the house. It really stuck with me and with kids toys being so loud, I kept the base elements simple and soft.  Honestly it's my favorite room in the house and both my doggos love to chill in there waiting for their bud to join :)

Random Amazon find. Decided to splurge and get two, but have yet to decide where to put the second one. A little pricey, but I think the price was worth it.

Sorry for the poor lighting, north facing room means not a lot of natural light! Just need to get some gallery frames to put on the wall between the crib and dresser. There's also a book shelf to the right of the chair that you can't see.

Let me know if you want to know about any of the other items. And yes I know he can't have stuffed animals in his crib, they won't be there when he's in it :)

I have a 4moms pack n play/bassinet in my room for at first but hoping to get him in here ASAP! Now that the room is mostly complete I'm twiddling my thumbs sterilizing pinkies, getting supplies for padcicles, etc.

u/ggill1313 · 2 pointsr/malelivingspace

This is the correct answer.

You can get a cheaper version for around $100.

u/feather-bells · 2 pointsr/AmateurRoomPorn

Is it this one?

Oops, think it may be this.

u/ixrequalv · 2 pointsr/malelivingspace

It is this but doesn’t seem to be selling anymore :/

Since it's a church, is there some other area you could securely store your bike? Like a storage closet or room? Even if you had to lock it while it's in there, that would free up more space. Then you could put a nicer big lamp in that corner. Something like this which would help with that minimalist feel you're going for.

An accent chair like this would also look nice, be comfy to read in, and more in line with the look you mentioned. Similar ones are frequently at places like TJ Maxx or Target.

u/DarkTimeHero · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

Get a longer table, stay with wooden. That little one looks out of place. A longer one would make the room feel wider too.

I'd minimize on the decos as there's too much going on, but that is a preference from someone who likes minimalism.
There are too many lamps. I'd say ditch them all and get this one
https://www.amazon.com/Modway-EEI-2906-WHI-Sunflower-Round-Marble/dp/B07GXLL6H3/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1539099148&sr=8-6&keywords=overhanging+lamp&dpID=41KgQMcWVPL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

That orange ottoman looks out of place it. Very minimal colors to play off of, out of place, inconvenient.
I'd also recommend getting a different clock.

u/kumquatballs · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

The wooden table under the TV is too short and it is a different color pallet compared to the rooms theme. Maybe a black shelf or something that’s neutral color.

Also, lighting is a pretty important factor. I would look into some basic LEDs along the half wall, behind the TV, and/or a nifty lamp that can extend over the couch. Kind of like something like this lamp maybe.. idk

u/rigid_designator27 · 1 pointr/battlestations

I got the table lamp here: https://www.article.com/product/3565/spot-white-table-lamp

And the floor lamp:
Arched White Floor Lamp, Modern Light with White Marble Base [Archiology] 61" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP1CNJ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8oKRDbX8WN2D4

u/eaudaemon · 1 pointr/PSVR

one way to prevent that problem is to organize your cables, I preferred my cables to be coming from the ceiling so I got something like this so that I won't trip on them and less tangles. If sticking stuffs on the ceiling isn't an option I've heard some people use something like an old lamp stand that they run the cables on by putting some velcro or something to hold them in place, and you could take it out and store in somewhere if not in use

u/ChrisLW · 1 pointr/guitars

Thanks - I saw the framed guitar idea somewhere a couple of years ago, and knew I wanted to do it when I had room. Also, keeps me from buying a third guitar lol.

Without going all /r/malelivingspace, here's a similar pulley lamp and I got the chair from Hayneedle.

u/Airmaid · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you google "Lamp with shelves", you'll find a bunch of them. Easy Amazon Link.

u/redroyaltiesllc · 1 pointr/interiordecorating

Thank you so much for your input, I can't explain how helpful it is!

So I'm going to go ahead and purchase the tan article couch :)
