So this is less than $17 on Amazon, and for an international customer I am basically paying $40 to have this sent to Australia. Apparently with no sonic upgrade, just different colour/packaging...

Time to pick over the same 20 disappointing swaps again, I guess.

Amazon has it for 15 bucks at the moment. Not pink, or detail that VMP gave their version, but the option is still there.

Love Francoise Hardy! You can get TCG from amazon for cheap:

Tous Les Garcons Et Les Filles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N07JDPL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QI9pDbW9M2CKA

Also recommend Sylvie Vartan, France Gall, Jacqueline Taeib, and Gillian Hills for some more sweet Ye Ye.

I got lucky on that whole JR.com thing. I ordered 9 albums and they only cancelled one of them.

Look around on amazon, there's some good ones for cheap. Don't know if you're into jazz, but there's Thelonious Monk going for cheap. I'll post some others if I remember that I got cheap:

some cheap Sonny Rollins

phoenix album for under 16 bucks

Earthless - Rhythms from a Cosmic Sky. Kickass Jam/psych album, one song per side, but both awesome

some black keys for cheap. rubber factory and chulahoma for 15

some tool going for cheap. Especially Undertow and Opiate

Can't go wrong with Miles Davis

There's a few more cheaper ones from him as well.

|about artist|Galaxie is a francophone indie garage rock formed in 2002 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The french National Jazz Ochestra (ONJ) released an album of Led Zeppelin covers. One of my favorite albums.
ONJ - Close to heaven

Those are the only albums I can think of off the top of my head that other people probably haven't mentioned yet.

Juliette Greco, one of the great chansonnieres, was in her youth also a stunning (and very French) looking woman - photos of her from back when made me swoon during high school French classes..

I visited Paris two years ago and since hearing how hip-hop was done over the ocean, I've all but given up on American hip-hop.

I personally am particular to Marseille groups. IAM is an outstanding group. Saison 5, their latest album, is absolutely fantastic. Fonky Family and 3ème Oeil are also outstanding.

Sniper and MC Solaar are also fantastic.

I will say, while Sinik, Booba, Rohff are more of the same 'thug rap', it sounds a lot better than anything produced in the last five years in the U.S. ("Mauvais garçon", "le duc", "TDSI" come to mind).
