Hello, r/CannabisExtracts! Visitor from r/microgrowery here. I'm wondering if you experts can help me dial in my blasting technique. Here's what I did:
How did I do? I haven't tried it yet, but it smells pretty strongly of chlorophyll. I'm afraid that this will be suitable for making edibles, but not so good for dabbing. Please give me your constructive criticism. Thanks, fam!
I have used these:
https://www.amazon.com/Aoyue-Benchtop-Solder-Smoke-Absorber/dp/B001RLZGKK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482366907&sr=8-1&keywords=solder+air+filter
They work well enough, but because of the filter you have to have it pretty close to your face. That filter limits a ton of airflow. I have also used these:

The brand I used was Hakko, but on amazon they didnt have it pictured with the hose. That hose makes it a lot easier to keep your ventilation convenient and out of the way and also provides a stronger suction so you don't have to sit as close.
I've seen variants on that design... I'm sure it's very good, but there are a few problems. First, the "clamp" anchor is useless for me because I'm not going to clamp it onto my granite countertops. Second, (And this sounds even more petty) it's manual. I dig post holes manually, I haul firewood out of the woods manually, and I slaughter and butcher my own livestock... but I am not going to stand there cranking that thing for an hour to go through 8 cups of seeds.
This one is a design I like, but it isn't highly rated... This one seems like it might be a good "commercial" grade press
