This one is expensive but it's the best hose I've used. It's lightweight and well made. Worth the investment. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MV3VILZ?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Why didn't you just get it at wal-mart? Don't they sell for the same price?

Edit:Amazon has 2 day shipping and $10 less than the xhose website

I bought this combo deal; the trickle hose for this sliver of yard between me and the neighbor. It’s a nasty slope too.

I don't use a sprinkler, but have you used the faucet connector & adjusted the built-in valve? That should give you the flow control you're looking for. There are also hoses with flow adjusters built in (example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQSL4HK), or just a simple flow controller (ex: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074CBHQJ9). Plenty of solutions, if that's you're only complaint.

These are my preferred gadget, I only put them in my delicate plants:

https://www.amazon.com/Master-Craft-Plant-Watering-Spikes/dp/B0037OEK0M

The only reason people ever hate on them is because they don't use them properly. Have to pre-water the soil and install properly, otherwise you're good to go.

Hmmm. We have two of those, ours have metal fittings and they've held up rather well (the first go had plastic fittings and they leaked over time). When you say break, has the issue been a tear in the hose or the fittings like our experience with the plastic fitting hoses? This is what we bought: https://www.amazon.com/Expandable-Epandable-Expanding-Lightweight-Gardening/dp/B07DW3BG5P/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=expandable+garden+hose+50ft+nayahose&qid=1556915797&s=lawn-garden&sr=1-3-catcorr This will be our second summer with them, no issues so far.

I recommend this stainless steel hose.

I was so tired of "never kink" hoses that were just full of kinks and twists. I bought this steel hose a few months ago and it's been perfect.

Durark are my current favorite. I'm with you, I love the expandable hoses but the problem is they are too thin or made with weak materials. These are dual layer latex. Did i mention lifetime warranty?

This is my fetish. I got you. Get this: https://www.amazon.com/Flexzilla-Garden-SwivelGrip-Lightweight-Drinking/dp/B00OHRTKLM/ref=sr_1_5?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1526296469&sr=1-5&keywords=flexzilla+garden+hose+50+ft

Had a "nice" Sears NeverKink hose, two in 100ft. Kinked like mad and had internal failures causing huge pimples which I repaired. Finally took them both back for a replacement. There's nothing cooler than showing up to Sears with TWO 100ft weeping hoses. Got new and they did the same. Got SuperMAD. Researched for 200 days. Looked at the no messing around commercial units and decided their cost and HEAVY weight weren't for me. Then read about the Flexzilla.

The hose material is mostly silicone I thing so it gives zero fucks as to weather. I had both hoses fully charged in 5 degree weather with no splitting (protip: this is not a good idea). They are light as shit and feel limp, even when the water is on. I think the key is the plastic handle before the end....see it in the pics....it is 100% free from the hose and rotates as you pull on it so it doesn't create twists/kinks down the line. They do sell normal ones so look closely....get the version with the swivel green plastic handles vice the green molded handles.

I love it so much when it came time for an air hose a few months back, I got a Flexzilla one too. Oddly, many complain that the hose gets dirty quickly which I could give a shit about as I've never put a metric on the cleanliness of my hoses, but to each their own. Look on eBay for them as I saved quit a bit on eBay vice amazon or other sources.

I've never tried that, but he may have put the wicks into the pots before the plants. You could potentially harm them trying to shove a wick deep down into a root ball, but it should be ok if you're nice about it.

Another option is a big water jug with a dripper head on it like this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0037OEK0M/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?qid=1427124487&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=pop+bottle+drip&dpPl=1&dpID=41KQIF7GwzL&ref=plSrch

Just put the bottle upside down into the soil with this on the end and fill it up. I can't speak for how long these will drip for, but i know you can get a slow drip for days with the right set up.

Edit: the first reviewer claims that using this with 2L bottle filled with water absorbing crystals should last a week. YMMV

I suggest this is the one to get:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PXBJJMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Just bought it myself and have been using it everyday for about 3 weeks. Heavy steel unit that can pull a 100ft hose.

So just got a foam cannon setup and something has gone wrong. Long story short, detailed below, when I connect all the pieces there is no pressure to shoot out water/foam.

I use a regular garden hose connected to the water spout outside, MTM Hydro SG28 Spray Gun, and the TriNova foam cannon.

When I connect the spray gun only to the hose, without the trinova cannon, the water only shoot far enough out to hit the ground maybe 5 feet in front of me as I hold the trigger down, holding it straight out in front of me.

Then, I connect the TriNova foam cannon with the water and soap loaded up and pull the trigger, nothing comes out. When I adjust the knobs on the trinova for more/less pressure etc then some foam will start to dribble out a bit but won't even spray a little let alone blast out to cover my car.

Any ideas what is going wrong? IDK if it's a hose issue or something else that is not compatible. I will list the exact hose below, IDK if hoses can hold back the PSI coming through?

Most standard-size hoses have a plug available that will fit on the end coupling. Check at the hardware store or Big Box DIY store (Home Depot, etc)

I just found this one and it’s not too expensive. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9OCWJO it’s the same brand. I’m guessing it would work?

We have gone through a ton of hose reels at my work, including all of the normal top picks off Amazon at $150+ and non of them lasted more than 6 months. If you want something that lasts spend the extra and get a coxreel they look and are industrial but they last and all of the connections fittings that usually fail can be replaced. We have had our current ones (two different models of them) for over two years and have not had any issues with them. We have 100+ ft of hose on ours rolled out and in probably 5+ times a day.

Edit- also spend the $ on flexilla Before these our average hose lifespan(for top of the line hoses) was three months. We are at almost a year and a half on these no issues, and that's with 20,000lbs aircraft and 10,000lbs vehicles running over them all the time. We actually bought extra because we used to go through so many and they are still in the original packaging!

I have switched all my hoses over to quick disconnects, including all my pressure washer connection points, and used these hoses:

zero-G 4001-50 Lightweight, Ultra Flexible, Durable, Kink-Free Garden Hose, 5/8-Inch by 50-Feet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014M9PEXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9tdlzbCBWVCV5

No leaks and everything is super easy to move around and setup, especially now that I have a spotless rinse setup too.

I do but it's been posted elsewhere and would identify me IRL, so I don't want to post them.

Basically it's 4x of these, 1x of these, and a bunch of PVC fittings from Lowe's. All the PVC stuff uses pipe thread, so on the output side get a female pipe thread (FPT) to male hose thread (MHT) adapter.

I am feeding the system with two 3/4 inch hoses (hoses not included in the $200 total) that flow into these and merge into a single pipe (check valves on each side to mitigate some risk of backflow, but FYI this wouldn't pass code). One hose from each hose bib on my house. With that I'm getting about 10-11 GPM.
