I've had this one for about 10 years, and it's still going strong. It's one plastic button on a strip of leather, so there's really nothing that would break.

Whichever one looks closest to the one that's already on it?

Any normal guitar strap button is going to fit on an average guitar strap.

You could also go with the headstock wrap option where your strap ties off under the strings between the tuners and the nut so you don't need a second strap button.

I have a lot of guitars so I tend to shop for cheaper straps. I hate skinny straps so I also look for 3 inch models. I've found that the Levy's 3 inch "bass" strap works well.

Here's an Amazon link but they generally have them in stock at Sam Ash if you are near one.

The used to be 8 bucks but it looks like they are $10 now.

They are woven synthetic so they don't grip the way suede would but they are soft. The ends are also woven, maybe nylon, but the stitching is good and I've never had one break.

Highly recommended if you are looking to try a 3" strap to see if it works for you.

This pad helped my shoulder a lot. Highly recommend it.

I use this strap with the pad above because it has built in strap locks that work with my Gibson/Epiphone/Fender bass & guitars. It is cotton which adds a little friction and helps with neck dive on my Epiphone SG guitar which is neck heavy. Synthetic straps are slicker but this cotton one holds well. I pair this cotton strap with the pad for my MIM Fender bass and I do not get any neck dive but I also don't think the bass is very neck heavy. Anyway good luck.

The ones with the rotating disk lock have big plastic ends

It looks like one of the Dimarzio clip lock straps. Maybe this one?

I've been using this strap for years now. It has the lock built in to the strap itself via a rotating gear. It works perfectly as a strap lock, and can easily be removed and put on any other guitar in a matter of seconds.

Personally, my standard of guitar strap is to choose a strap with no less than this level of padding/cushion

as opposed to something like this where they tend to dig into your neck and grow super uncomfortable.

It looks like you might need an acoustic/headstock strap for the Yamaha AC3R because from pictures I have seen, it doesn't have a second strap holder.

I've got one of these with Dunlop QDs.

It's really heavy-duty and nicely padded. Holds my SG's head up. Matches the guitar and is just overall super cool.

Thanks! https://www.amazon.com/Vintage-Adjustable-Acoustic-Electric-Leather/dp/B0789LCXCC

Such a steal. It’s a high quality strap too.

I was thinking about this strap pad but maybe this sheepskin pad would work better.

I had the same problem finding a strap for my Zach Myers then I saw this strap in my local guitar shop. It looks very good on the green.

Should it help with the neck angling as well? Hard to explain.

Do you have any reccomendations? (Under $20 and Vegan friendly? :D)

Would something like this work?. I love my strap (The softness it has), and it doesn't stick when I sweat. I believe it is a D' Addario (Planet Waves?) one. It's not the rough ones. It's soft. It came with a kit of strap locks (The ones you drill into your guitar). (Didn't use the locks though)

This would be another alternative?. (I'm vegan so I don't use leather straps.. but this is Suede). Not sure if this is thick enough though to avoid the neck dive?

Yo Dawg!

I rather like this decal and I'm a little in love with this strap but if I played guitar and could have any strap I'd go for this badboy

u/Snywalker · 1 pointr/Guitar

this planet waves locking strap is my favorite. They sell some with shoulder pads, or you can get it separately. Works well will guitar or bass.

u/calvi69 · 1 pointr/Guitar

I use Planet Wave locking straps. They're totally reliable, easy to adjust, and don't damage your guitar at all. The lock is plastic, but backed with a soft rubber so it doesn't scratch. If you're using it on a bulkier guitar, it might scuff a little (this happened on my acoustic. Read this guy's review). I use the cheaper polypropylene strap, but they have leather, satin, and some kind of soft fabric (comes in different designs!), which I haven't tried. Some of them can be kind of pricey. Also somebody wrote a review that the locking mechanism can break, but I haven't seen anything like that happen with mine, and I've had it for ~3 years, so it's probably fine if you're not too rough with it.

u/Darth-Thater · 1 pointr/weezer

I've never been able to find the exact one, but I got this one and it worked fine

u/Seth_Michael · 1 pointr/Guitar

I've looked around but can't get an answer, which leads me to think the answer may be no. Can you put iron on patches on a guitar strap? Will the strap melt when ironing and will I need a special strap. I would like to use this strap (because its thick enough to fit patches) https://www.amazon.com/Levys-Leathers-M8P3-BLK-Polypropylene-Guitar/dp/B000XPSI10/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1523484086&sr=1-1&keywords=levy%27s+leather+3+inch+guitar+strap+black

and particularly want to put this Alvvays patch on it. https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/product/alvvays_embroidered_patc

If ironing on wouldn't work could they be sewn on?

u/dragonblade629 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Personally I'm a fan of Planet Waves. Not expensive, work well, and some of them, like the one linked, look pretty sweet. Also, if you ever consider going live, you may want to pick up a soundhole cover.

u/qqpugla · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Yo dawg

I think the white hummingbird pick guard would look nice with the dark mahogany of your guitar.

This strap or this one are both cool.

Fender Vintage Tweed Strap
The tabs are a lighter brown, perhaps bordering on orangey, than the pictures indicate, but I don't get the negative reviews.

u/Astrixtc · 1 pointr/bandmembers

I'm not in mosh pits, but I use a Levis Holster and it works great. I think the cable would come out of my guitar long before that thing would come off. It's got two nice options. You can either thread it through a belt loop, or through a strap lengthwise. You can thread thin straps, or velcro it around thicker ones. In your case, I'd go with the strap as you'll be able to keep the cable short and more out of the way.

Mine was very well built. I'm on my 3rd transmitter, but only my 1st holster.

u/Ig79 · 1 pointr/Bass

Attach the transmitter to your strap. Best solution I've found.
