Updos are tricky with wigs unless you want to shell out money for full lace wigs. When I do Victorian hair for historical costuming I would tie my existing up into a tiny bun, then put on a ear to ear front lace piece like this to hide my scalp and finally clip in a fancy bun (similar to this but I made mine with real hair wefts). It's a lot lighter and more comfortable than wearing a full wig, not to mention it's way cheaper. If you don't have bald spots then you probably don't even need the lace front piece because hair stylists can make the top of your hair look quite full.
Yes, I followed the rubber band method on youtube and got the hair from amazon 6 (18, T27) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QDWNS7T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_12UDDbRXVT7X4
It links to Canadian Amazon since I live in Canada but here ya go!😊Faux locks
The technique I ended up using had you run glue along the top and bottom of the hair of the entire weft where it is sewn together, cut off a small weft, thread hair (with threader) into a large, long needle, and “sew” into place by pushing the needle from the inside to the outside of the head.
I was using the sewing technique originally, but I was cutting small wefts and tying knots into them to keep them in place. It was time consuming and messy. I did not like using a rooting tool, so I never finished a doll that way (maybe I’ll try again some day). But, I did one complete Barbie head and finished a second in one day...not sure of the amount of time. But with my starting method I had already worked on this doll several different days and easily had 1/3 of her head to go.
I purchased the hair on Amazon. I live in an area where doll making/customizing/repairing must not be much of a thing, so the craft/sewing stores had nothing. I just took a chance on some inexpensive synthetic hair and hoped for the best since I’m just learning. I would probably look for a different hair for the PJ doll I want to re-root, but also wouldn’t mind this for some other Barbies. I’ve also used this hair to make a Barbie wig.

I just bought this one, this week. She feels good, and I can flat iron and curl her hair. Haven’t tried dying yet though.

You could always get the cheep synthetic hair ones if your going to be cutting them only too. Just can’t use heat or atleast high heat.
Also check Facebook for other people selling their heads as well.
Im gonna guess 113. And these feathers would be nice to have!!
I found these on Amazon and they were phenomenal...even my hair stylist was impressed. Just us here tone and trim them a bit so they matched perfectly.

GOOD LUCK, KNOCK EM DEAD!
Have you tried using wig clips? Not the ones that just slid in but the ones that clamp down. Very secure that wig isn't going anywhere.

Watch a few youtube videos to decide if you want a frontal, closure, or leave out. As for affordable hair, I've gotten some really good hair from Amazon. This hair has been consistent in quality for me for 2 years and the prices are good. They also have a body wave which I liked. Tbh its really hard to find a good frontal on there but this frontal was the only good one I've purchased from there.
I'm not familiar with closures but this one has a good number of positive reviews.
I would only recommend leave out if you get hair close to you real texture/pattern or if you're down to style your leave out every day

Here is a video containing a small clip of me going over my hair that I found from two weeks ago.
My hair has a red tint to it currently, and is lighter on top than bottom and the red shows more on top as well. I plan on braiding the extensions or curling them in, so I just want to make sure they blend well.

The craziest thing I've ever done with my hair? Well I used to love Ramona Flowers and saw a great opportunity...
I think it was Freshman year in high school my school had a breast cancer awareness day, where everyone was encouraged to dress in pink, well on a whim I bleached then dyed my hair pink the night before. Everyone was incredibly shocked when the student council and science honor society president walked in with bright pink hair!

I have had my eye on this for a while, recently cut my hair a bit short..
Now imagine zombie monkeys with bright pink hair!
Something fun for me to use on my girls
Congrats on your sobriety. Keep up the good work.hugs
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HDATZ
If you want to try bangs without fully committing to them, try a set of clip in bangs.
I cut bangs into my hair when I was your age and I regretted it. They were fun for a little while, but a pain in the butt to grow out.
I know! I'm in love! They're the Jessica Simpson HairDo bangs. I got them with free shipping from here. They're so easy to wear and I've gotten so many compliments already! :)
Mine are in Honey Ginger, if that helps. :)

How would this owl look with your hair extensions.
these. but I'm afraid my hair will be too long. Do I like..clip them into the under side of my hair next to my scalp? Ugh maybe I'll just go for it and dye it all after my friends wedding..but then god forbid I'm got a conference in the winter..though I do have salon chemicals to strip it all out when it's faded. Hmmm.
