Epic Skates 2016 Epic Sparkle 8 High-Top Quad Roller Skates, Pink https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018N3C1TI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_KNpyzbHBN5AF2

These were the closest I found on Amazon.

For a minute I thought they had only sent one.

If you're playing outdoors, you are going to go through a lot of sticks. By cheap ones.

You need some wheels made for asphault. These last forever; RINK RAT Wheels 72mm 84a PIVOT ASPHALT 4-Pack Black/Red Inline Outdoor Hockey https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S72RSE4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4dPQAb3EPM6H2

I used to wear Dansko and Birkis and although they gave great knee/back support, they really hurt my feet and were difficult to move around quickly in.

I feel like clogs are tough to wear if you're required to move fast or long distances. I picked up these guys about 3 months ago and I feel like a brand new cook.

Not kidding.

Some people joke that they look funny, but I cut my ticket time in half, close a half hour earlier and am just the best damn chef I can be when I'm wearing these.

Only problem is they're not non-slip.

I recommend a hardboot skate like the Seba FRX or Rollerblade twister. Hardboot skates are more supportive and durable, and 80mm wheels are the standard choice for all around skating (larger speed skate wheels are harder to balance, and smaller trick style wheels are too slow for traveling). Both of those are solid beginner skate choices.

> what are the pros and cons of hard boots vs. soft boots?

"The Difference Between Hard and Soft Rollerblade Boots" by Skates.Org

The short version:
-- Hard boot skates are generally more durable and generally offer better support than soft boot skates, but are generally substantially heavier and generally more expensive than a comparable soft boot skate.
-- Soft boot skates are generally lighter, generally more comfort-oriented, and generally less expensive than hard boot skates, but are generally less durable and generally not as supportive as hard boot skates.
-- Hybrid boots take the best aspects of both hard and soft boots (and may add other bells-and-whistles, like asymmetric lacing), but are usually very expensive (easily in the high-three-digit or even low-four-digit range) and geared toward skilled fitness skaters, speed skaters, and marathon skaters (that is, they are generally not "beginner friendly").

The Rollerblade RB80 and the Rollerblade Fusion X3 would be typical hard boot "urban skates" skates that would fit your budget, and the K2 Midtown and K2 Broadway are typical soft boot urban skates - "urban skates" being the type that are designed for skating through a city or campus area; see here and here).
Additionally, all four of those have the ability to replace the frames (something that most recreational and fitness skates within your stated budget lack), so that one can dramatically change what the skate is capable of, or replace the frames if they are damaged, and (unlike the Seba FRX80) should come with a heel brake assembly either already-attached, or unattached in the box.
(The IW specs page for the FRX80 states, "No Brake Included - Sold Separate", so one would need to purchase the compatible brake assembly separately from the skate itself.)

3 wheeled skate are usually 3 wheel because the wheels are extra big. Tall wheels are hard to ride, the center of gravity is higher. 80mm and under wheels(no smaller than 76). 4 of them.. The most impotant part of a skate is that it fits right. It sounds like you should get a fitness skate. Have a skate fit right is probably more important than anything. Go to the store and start trying them on.. find one that fits snug but doest have any spots digging into you. make sure your heel stays firm in the heel cup. If you don't have a decent selection you will have to buy online and be ready to return them unless they fit well!! this would be a good skate for you if it fits. https://www.amazon.com/Roces-Mens-Veni-Inline-Skates/dp/B00VVK0PQM

If by gamma you mean this

https://www.amazon.de/Powerslide-940171-Herren-Inline-Skate-Gamma/dp/B00VJZ5GKE

then that'S a 185 mm mount and wont fit the imperiial.

I assume this is the beta

https://bladeville.com/powerslide-beta-243-4x80mm.html

I don't know anything about it, but it seems a good price (was first hit on google). However, not sure if single axles are samme as imperial, so you may need to buy new axles as well. (may be a good idea to email PS or whereever you shop)

I AM AN OPOSSUM

What a great thing you're doing! Thanks for the contest!

Something unique about me.. Hm.. I'm training to be a banked track roller derby player! I actually am still what's considered "Freshmeat," so I'm still learning. Last week, I learned to skate backwards and I am SO STOKED! My Roller Derby name is Tenacious DD... Like the boobs. lol

I think my big ticket item would be these awesome light up wheels! How cool would it be to be rollin' around, knocking b*tches down with light up wheels! :)

Not sure if you tried this but RB Twister 80 is a little cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Rollerblade-Mens-Twister-Urban-Skate/dp/B00PUHPWH4

I just bought a set of these for my first outdoor skating experience. I haven't ever tried any other outdoor wheels, so I don't have a basis for comparison, but I really like them!

Maybe too late, but I just got a pair of Candigirl Carlin's from Amazon for $100. Metal trucks, outdoor wheels, non-adjustable toe stop, cute colors like the Moxi skates. They have great reviews, mostly from other noobs, but I think they ride great so far and seem to have more padding than the Moxis. This is my first pair of skates ever and I'm in love. I wanted a more affordable option to the Moxis to make sure I would use the skates enough to justify the price of a 'better' pair later on.

Note: even though they say 'suede', it is a faux suede and faux leather lining. I can't really tell, tbh. It's not that cheap looking microfiber.

Something like these Rollerskates would be good. You get a lot more stability than roller blades, but they're a bit more maneuverable than regular roller skates.

Get the dog a good harness, clip to the back of it, and go. You really should work on some verbal recalls, but honestly, I've seen people do this using a two point harness. Have one leash attached to the front clip, another to the back. You let the dog pull you using the back clip and when you want to stop, you gently pull back on the front. You would start training this while walking (I know, I know. You don't want to do this, but give it a couple weeks of short walks just to get this down and you'll be skating/riding/etc in no time).

I also know one person who had a lot of success with almost a horse-like training: the back clip hooked to a hand's free leash (attached to your belt) and you have two leads hooked to the front clip, one coming out on the left and one on the right. Gently pull left when you want to go left, gently pull right when you want to go right, gently pull both when you want to stop. Again, you train this on walks first and then go to the dog pulling you.

Good point, I'll edit the original post.

They came with my Rollerblade Twister Pro. 80mm and hardness is 85A. Since this is an "urban" skate, I don't do much at the park but go fast. :)

Is Prom being held at your school or off site?

If it's at the school, maybe you can hide a normal set of roller skates on the premises a few days before and just change into them when needed.

Alternatively (and more expensively), these: https://www.amazon.com/Cardiff-Skate-Adult-Cruiser-Skates/dp/B00SWURC10/

Did you know that Ferrari makes inline skates? Neither did I! I cannot speak for their quality at all, but they are in your price range. They look good anyway.
