I used the vegan puff pastry recipe from vegan baking and added guava preserves for the square ones and added guava and kite hill cream cheese for the triangle ones. I wasn't a huge fan of the cream cheese flavor from kite hill. I'll continue looking for an alternative that tastes better, but the guava ones were superb!

I have made them with different varieties of jam and have also frozen the dough to bake later. I buy Nature's Hollow sugar free jam. It is my FAVORITE! 100% tastes like regular jam. It looks like they use Xylitol for the sweetener. If you make the sugar free jam, let me know how it turns out. I would like to make my own because it get's a little pricy.

You can buy it on Amazon if you're desperately curious but five quid for an 18oz jar is absolute highway robbery. That's more than twice what we pay in America. Of course, I see that "grape" doesn't really exist as an option in Sainsbury's. Seedless jam is probably the closest you're going to get without paying through the nose.

I hear people talk about that all the time, but it has bugger all to do with genetic engineering. That is the domain of conventional selection. It certaintly is important, and I'd take it a step further and say we need more species level biodiversity (things like teff or quinoa or manoomin or ōhelo or prickly pear or the many other less commonly cultivated crop species). Unfortunately, I rarely see anyone work to actually do something about that, to actually promote biodiversity among the general public; it's mostly just attacking biotechnology and using biodiversity as an rather poor justification. If the anti-GMO groups spent half as much time and effort promoting biodiversity (which is the big issue here...can't really expect a thing to be grown if the end consumer neither knows nor cares what the thing is can you?) as they do lying about and scaremongering over a something that has been proven time and again to be benefitial the world would be a better place.
