Oh man, I'm a nervous pee-er too! The best advice I have for you is to remember that, at a certain point, it's just the FEELING that you have to pee. You don't actually have to, and once you get past the nerves, you won't need to pee anymore! So make sure you pee like five times before you put your dress on. XD
For under your dress, I'd look at slip shorts (like this maybe, or you can find some at Jockey/Hanesbrands/most lingerie stores) OR a pair of cooling shorts (like Uniqlo's Airism line or something for athletics, or a summerweight merino wool (lightweigh, wicking, fast drying material).

VIV Leggings from Amazon. I have like 7 pairs. They. Are. Amazing. They are so soft, not sheer, and are higher waisted. They are so cheap too!! I've never had any issues with mine wearing out or getting holes and I wash them weekly.

The shoes for both variations are snake scaled as well, but are comfortable enough so that you can walk around in your costume. The necklace was chosen as it has a snake and the green of Salazar himself. Additionally, the fangs were chosen to represent the sharp fangs of the Basilisk and they are easy to wear. If you really want to channel the spirit of the Basilisk, opt for wearing yellow contact lenses so your eyes match the monster itself.
I also recommend wearing your hair in an S-Shaped braid like this to really hit the "S" in serpent. You may want to add a little green makeup on your face to really sell the look as well if you so desire.

So I bought these off of amazon and they are super, super comfy and fairly well constructed. I've also bought fleece-lined tights from target and I really like theirs (I think they're just their house brand/Xhiliraion). I have heard the Muk Luks now makes a fleece-lined legging but am unsure how they would fair. You can also find them pretty easily at places like Target and Shopko this time of year.
I also hear that places like Anthropologie has them as well as Old Navy and I think maybe American Eagle. I have an above-average length inseam so when I find places that have inseams that work for me I tend to stick with buying things from there.

Super comfy, form fitting, and they hold their shape fairly well. I love the thick waistband. I have the XL and they weigh 7.8oz on my scale.
I've never used the Capilene Thermal leggings but I do have a Capilene Thermal top. I'd say the Woolly leggings aren't going to be quit as warm as the Capilene due to not having the grid pattern to hold in the warmth. A little googling compares Capilene thermal to ~300 weight Merino and these are 320 weight. They keep me pretty toasty.
The Woolly leggings are a little see through when they're stretched around an area (although I have no qualms about walking around camp in them)
My favorite leggings are the Colorful Koala Pattern Leggings (leopard prints dropping tonight on their website!) and also their 7/8th Pocket Leggings (any other legging is a different material from them, these two styles are the same though).

Not really too sure how they compare to VS though, since I've only ever looked at those in store and never owed a pair.

Plenty of colors, good flex, no sheer/squat proof, but they are definitely more for low sweat/fashion. They're super soft but I don't think I'd want to go running in them.
Alternatively, Target's champion/C9 line. Not bad on the price, they stay up, haven't gone sheer, and I HAVE gone running in them with no issue.
I'm just eight weeks out, and also have a noticeable tummy (and butt, thighs, and back fat). And I've been really happy with Amazon brand jeggings! They're supposed to fit above the ankle, but that length looks weird on me so I buy the long version instead. These are very soft, no butt sagging, and make me feel a little better about myself. I have two washes; light wash (link! $20), and dark indigo (also $20, link!).
I don't like leaning forward in them for hours, but that's my only complaint because I'm not used to having this much belly.
