Other than Revell kit, take a look at locomotive BR86 (made by Hobby Boss, kit nr. 82914). It's a wartime locomotive, but it's a nice model, with over 200 parts and a nice level of detail.

You can find it on amazon for about 22£

The problem is that you can find model kits for steam locomotives, but model kits of most recent trains (US diesel locomotives that pull an infinite amount of containers) are difficult to find in kit form
