For straight lines I'll use tape. Other wise I draw them with thin brushes. For the chevron look I'll use those tip guides.

I know there are better items out there, but these are what I use.

You can use regular household Scotch tape, or if you want thin lines like you have here you can use striping tape. I get mine from Amazon.

I found it because I was looking at finger nail decals/stickers, because I was trying to find some Star Wars Rebel symbols for my X-Wing miniatures, and one of the stores I was looking at offered a free roll of Nail Tape with the purchase of two of their decal sets. Five minutes later I find the above link on amazon and figure that for $4 there's no reason not to try it.

Dotting tools, striping tapes, rhinestones, and nail art brushes are great for her age bracket (and they have the added bonus of being super cheap!!)!

For a higher level of difficulty check out nail stampers with "plates". Here is a tutorial to show what those actually do, tutorial.

You know your kid better than I do, but at her age I would have loved a dedicated space for my "beauty supplies". Would a desk with a nail station be a welcome gift? If you live near an IKEA, get something like this and these for polish storage, each box fits 50 polishes easy! I would also get a desk lamp and some mason jars or whatever to hold the tools that are too big for the box. Maybe even a vanity mirror for when makeup becomes a thing. To keep the desktop clean and easily manageable I would get some cheap plastic place mats from the dollar tree.

Polish-wise, Sinful Colors is a cheap brand of polish found in most drug stores, usually around $2 a bottle, but the colors are nice and go on well (I own about 20 of them and use them often). For a person her age I probably wouldn't get too many of the more expensive brands like Essie on up, just because preferences are fleeting at that age. Eventually, you could dive into the deep scary world of independent polish makers (where all the pretty colors are!!)

I exfoliate once a week or so with an apricot scrub, and usually remove my makeup using baby wipes, though I also love cleansing oil. I moisturize every day, and use this cream from the face shop. It's amazing. I'd really like to try using striping tape the only issue is, none of it ships to Canada, so you'd have to send it to yourself, then to me. Luckily, I don't mind waiting, and shipping is cheap!

These Nail Art Striping Tapes are under $5 and would make my nails so cooooool!

This product definitely has low star reviews with complaints of residue.

That said, the second result is the striping tape I own and it has some similar reviews.

I can't find any nail blogs with advice, that's really what I was hoping for.
If no one else here has advice, maybe switch your technique up to complete 1 nail at a time?
I have NO IDEA if this will help your residue issue, but that's how I've been using it and I haven't had the same issue.

For a stand or a box you could go to any store and get a spice rack like this or this It just depends on how much polish she has or you can do a stand Also does she have any nail art tools? They are always fun to have and some striping tape It is hard to suggest any polishes since I don't know what she colours she likes and has but my favourite brands are essie, OPI, and China Glaze if that helps.
