Not saying you're wrong, just saying there's more than one way to look at things, plus artistic license.

Did a quick Amazon search and found this, for my perspective context:

KUMEED Twisty Modeling Assorted Balloons Magic Balloon with Air Pump Pack of 100 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01DVMH3P8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RJ00CbDT475XH

Those are nice. While in Montana, we used balloons, which were super sensitive, probably twice as sensitive as a thingamabob... but not just any balloons, these guys: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007AMUJ16/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You just blow them up just a little smaller than a normal size thingamabob and loop them on your leader... they were a little sluggish to cast at first (having a 12' leader/rig after it) but other than that, they caught me alot of fish.

I had an idea similar to this, but using a weather balloon instead of a kite. My buddy thought it was a dumb idea since we mostly stick to 2m, but it might work well for other bands.

The one I found on amazon (20ft diameter) is kind of pricey, but I would imagine it would be reusable since it would be tethered. In the question and answers section the say it can hoist 10 lbs.

I found these 36 inch balloons that are more affordable, but it would take several to do the job.

It might be a viable alternative to a kite in a no wind situation.

As a kid I used to use Water Grenades in lots of battles we had at the park. The devious way to drench someone long distance wise was to fill the balloon then simply twist the bottom end (don't knot it!) and throw in a general direction with your finger on the twisted end. Upon launch in 2-3 seconds the end should unwind and the grenade will double as a rocket. And yes it is fun to hit people like that too as well as throwing it over a group of them.

Balloons! Loose balloons strewn about that the kids can hit into the air are a blast. You can also get some balloon animals balloons and a book from the library about how to make them into swords and hats.

(Its very important to get a good quality hand pump. Lots of kits come with a junk pump which makes it very hard to blow up the balloons. This pump is amazing for blowing up the long balloons very easily).

I've done this multiple times with little kids parties and its been fantastic. They fight with sword balloons or just hit the loose balloons back and forth to each other. You'll need at least one older kid or dedicated adult to tie balloon ends and help twist them into the desired shape.

You ask why? Funny enough, i woke up wondering something equally pointless, how to put something into a balloon. Remembering stores at the mall that sold teddy-bears inside of balloons, i googled that and came up with this video which is also r/aww worthy. Of course i couldn't just watch one, and i clicked on the video i posted.

Anyways, it made me go "aww, that's cute" in a pretty large amount, so here i put it in case anyone else might want to wake up to some fun this Saturday.

(edit) Spelling and answers to your questions;

  • Looks like a latex balloon.
  • Here's a balloon that might work.
  • You can notice several times when they let air out, and it comes out pretty slowly, but i assume it's important to have someone watching so you don't kill/suffocate yourself.
  • I think the why is because you can, and it makes the kids laugh. But;
    • Might be a funny party trick?
    • You can tie it and walk around?
    • You've always wanted to be the balloon/bubble boy?

I get that this is 5 days old now, but this is just my 2c. I am Australian and I don't understand how you can't understand what Helicopter-shaped means? If I said I wanted a helicopter-shaped cake for my birthday would you not understand? If I said I wanted a helicopter shaped plushie? Sure it might be more natural to say "Cake shaped like a helicopter" or for the plushie just "helicopter plushie". But all of those phrases are basic English and just as easily understandable. Indeed a quick search online gets you stuff like this.

If the proposed translation was "Drone shaped like a helicopter" would that work better for you? I agree with the other poster that by saying it is "helicopter-like" you're leaving out significant information. If the Japanese article wanted to just say 'helicopter like' they would have said ヘリコプターのようなドローン. Most drones are copter drones and they tend to be very flat and have multiple arms with 4-6 rotors. This specific drone, however, is very much more like a helicopter in terms of its overall shape and configuration than the standard drones most people know of. It has a single set of counter rotating blades and a bulky body that is suspended below the single rotor.

If you were writing this article in English; true, you might very well be okay with only saying 'helicopter-like' in terms of what information you want to give. But giving more specific information to clarify exactly how it is helicopter like isn't somehow ungrammatical, or unnatural.

Blacklights, man. Blacklights. Because blacklight balloons exist. And black light paint exists.

Doctor Who lights!

I'm not exactly sure what this is, but it's called a Wizard Stick so obviously you have to have it just for the sake of asking people if they want to see your wizard stick.

On New Years night I found these colorful balloons with LED lights built in, something like this, and grabbed my tank of helium left over from a previous remote control shark blimp thing, turned them on, filled them up with helium, and sent them into the sky. I forgot to check the local paper the next few days for UFO sightings, lol.
