Guessing it's an LED writing board

The simplest alternative might be to mount a little UV LED flashlight on the front of the handle, at a slight angle so it strikes the face of the mirror, and use a light mist of black-light spray paint on the face of the mirror, like /u/MakeItHomemade suggested. The actors might always be holding it, so the weird extra cylinder of the UV flashlight might not look super bad.

A more "clean" professional-looking prop of course wouldn't have this. An idea might be to use edge lighting.

If you apply a very light spray-varnish/urethane mist to the surface of the mirror, so that the varnish remains in discrete droplets, you should end up with a mirror that's very slightly foggy (but it's on stage so nobody will be able to see that). If you can then arrange for some edge lighting of the glass, the glass will conduct the light from the edge through the middle in the same way as one of those light up restaurant "chalk boards", but instead of the fluorescent paint pens interacting with black light LEDs to make glowing letters, you'd have the little bumps of varnish re-directing the light from whatever color of LEDs you use out of the front of the mirror. You could really even use UV edge lighting and still use the black light spray paint.

This is the same optical principle as those decorative fiber optic rods which have little air bubbles in the plastic, although of course you can't introduce air bubbles into the glass and you want much smaller/finer features to redirect the guided light out of the glass to make an even glow.

An alternative to fogging the front of the glass with the urethane would be to puncture the back silvering of the glass with some sand-paper and then paint over the back with white paint. Same principle: the guided edge light only can escape when it hits the little white specs, which redirect it out of the front of the mirror.

Your mirror really looks the part. But I will say that the bezel is a tough one to modify.

How about the ipevo interactive white board system?

You don't need a projector, you can use it with a regular LCD TV as long as you don't scratch the LCD surface too hard while writing.
