Here's a before, ~3 months post-op, and last month.

It's faded significantly over time, and I use silicone scar glide based on recommendations of silicone products from the skincareaddiction subreddit. It will continue to fade I'm certain, and if it becomes as faded as my gallbladder removal scars from many years ago then they will be largely unnoticeable this time next year.

The position is also notable, they are completely hidden when my arms are down. When mentioning skin removal I sometimes point out the scars and have had several people say they'd never noticed until I pointed it out.

Here and Here! These should help!

this stuff has worked really well for a large keloid scar I have from having a mole removed. And, it's cheap.

Also, I know you want them gone, but they are a great moral litmus test for the people you keep in your life. Any partner or friend who says something negative about them can be immediately cut out of your life. So theres that!

This is one of my favorite k-beauty shops. They seem to always have the most affordable shipping rates. They also run a promotion like this every weekend.

I also have eczema and the three creams that i have used over the last few months with consistency have CHANGED my symptoms.

  1. CV skin labs body lotion. I use once a day on my whole body. It's light weight, absorbs instantly but i remain generally itch free throughout the day. This lotion is extremely anti-inflammatory with tons of amazing herbal ingredients that help with my eczema. It even got rid of my bumps on my upper arms... real gem.

  2. Zyderma HS or American Biotech Labs Wound Dressing Gel -
these are both nano silver gels that help to cut eczema or acne causing bacteria depends which one you like best, i have both and alternate but it doesnt matter. I use it twice a day on areas where i actually have an outbreak etc. My dad has been using the biotech labs silver gel on a really bad eczema patch on his face for several months, and it has vanished https://www.amazon.com/American-Biotech-Labs-Wound-Dressing/dp/B00OMKNCRW

  3. Eczema balm by Province Apothecary - i love this little jar. It has zinc and shea butter and can be used as much as needed. helps with inflammation, itchy skin, redness etc - like all the others, but is great for reapplying throughout the day.

I didnt notice results over night, but after a few weeks I have almost no redness left! I know everyone's skin is different, but this routine reallllly helped me and I think you should give it a try.

Slap on a (sterile) silicone strip. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Aroamas-Professional-Silicone-C-Section-Drug-Free/dp/B07L6P7GPF/ works great

you should always mention your allergies to nurses & doctors even if not asked, and no doubt they would give you hypoallergenic bandaging without questioning.

Bandage is just a general broad term for something to use to cover an injury, a plaster is a gauze/cotton pad with adhesives, like Band-aids & cosmpor dressings they trap in moisture and not let the injury breath/dry out. They can a little tight/pressuring the injury, and we don’t want any pressure on a burn injury or have any adhesive sit directly on it, on the first few weeks at least, you can let it heal by forming a scab, or let it heal with moisture. EDIT: by forming a scab i mean if the blister popped/skin ripped off, it will take months to heal, but if the blister did not pop, it will eventually drain on it’s own and dry off, the skin flab will then be replaced with new skin and fall off on its own.

Meaning you can apply burn ointment, such as this herbal one daily and loosely cover with a non-stick gauze pad secure with medical type, or in your case, hypoallergenic paper tape.

But understand that burns are sensitive little shits and love to get infected, hell, they may be bound to get infected, a fluid-filled blister is definitely alot of help protecting you from infection, and flab of skin is just as important, removing it/get ripped off will expose some really sensitive skin that huuurts to get water into it.

Oh man, burns suck raw ass.

This one contains hydrocortisone so you don't want to use it all the time.

Hi! We actually just received our first shipment of bras from the manufacturing facility this week, so we don't yet have any before-and-after pictures for you to compare to — hope to in a few months!!! I will just say that the silicone we use in the JellyBra is the exact same stuff you used in regular silicone sheets like here and here, I just know how frustrated I was when I tried those because I had to keep replacing them (like every week!) and because they took time every day to reapply, so that's why I specifically made the JellyBra to be durable and convenient :)

If you would be willing to share before-and-after photos I would love to send you a free JellyBra and share your progress on our website and social media. I’ll provide cute Jelly-branded nipple covers, and your face definitely doesn’t have to be in the frame (but if you’re smiling for the camera I’m here for that too!)

This is a tip I learned from Reddit and it has saved my life. I used to get the cracked sides of mouth for weeks on end.

  1. Aquaphor
  2. Dab Stratamed on top of aquaphor, a little goes a long way.

It's actually a non-AB one I found in TKMaxx (TJMaxx in the US, no idea if it's in other countries!) and it is on Amazon. It was my first sheet mask--it brightens like crazy, reduces redness, and moisturizes my skin very well, so it checks off all of my skin goals basically. Everything feels so plump afterwards. I have to say that even after trying several AB ones I still return to this mask.

Also other sheet masks: Innisfree Rice, Tosowoong Propolis, Lanocreme Manuka Honey.

Edit to add the others : )

Have you looked into emulsions? Lots of people use them as a step in an AB routine, but I like them as light summer moisturizers after a toner and serum step.

Right now I'm using this one and I would recommend it.

My SO is still recovering from major plastic surgery he had in April. His plastic surgeon gave him this product, which we have continued to purchase off Amazon since then. I'm not sure if that would work for you given the size of the area to cover, but generally, she recommends a product like that combined with various silicone and surgical tape.

It's hard to say so far how much it has worked, since it has only been like 6 months, so his scars are still a little angry and red, but with daily care, the area is completely smooth. Most of the scars are not raised at all. Every night before bed, he brushes the Scarguard on, then he puts tape on top of the more raised areas.

Why not wear scars with pride like I do? But if you don't want to there are several products to help reduce scarring, I can't attest to the efficacy of the scar smoothing creams but some people say they help. Also with time the scars will start to hurt less and less usually...

I'm using this one:

http://www.amazon.com/actually-shipping-Silicone-No-Questions-Guarantee/dp/B00HMD6DBI/

I haven't seen it help yet (only using it since a week) but for older scars it is supposed to take a while before seeing a difference (around 3 months). Right now I'm using the cream in the morning and in the afternoon when I get home from work since I do not want it to interfere with the Pocketderm cream that I take before going to bed. From what I have read some people's acne does get worse with silicone, so if you want to try it out you should probably test it first in a small area.

Here is an article about silicone to treat scars: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2918339/

I got the idea due the following post that got deleted where someone used hair gel that had silicone in it with amazing results on their arm:
