Sorry for what you’ve been through. Happy to hear you are getting better! First of all you’re too hard on yourself. Females don’t need long hair in order to be feminine..try look at pinterest/youtube collages and videoes about girls and women with hair loss, thinning hair, etc. I understand it is difficult and can be traumatic to lose your hair...but hopefully it will get better, maybe read some inspirational articles and empowering stories from women that have dealt with temporary/permanent hairloss, it may boost your confidence, inspire you and find out there’s many ways to be feminine. Here is a youtube video from Vogue where 9 women tell their truth about life after hairloss.

Second, we don’t know your background or the medicals issues that caused this so we can’t tell you the outcome. You should ask your doctor.

I can suggest some products for shampoo and conditioner. As far as supplements/vitamins, what nourishes the hair, along with skin and nails, is plant silica. It is found naturally in some veggies, fruits, seeds, grains etc. like cucumbers, artichokes, asparagus and leafy greens like kale and spinach. Plus in teas like dandelion and nettle leaf. There are also wonderful herbs that There is siliplant and Gaia Herbs silica that are good supplements to take. Talk to your doctor about incorporating it into your diet.

You can also try playing around with different types of hats and caps, I really love headbands ! So many ways to wear it, different colours and fabrics/patterns plus it looks cute and feminine.

If these things don’t make you feel feminine maybe try the things that normally would make you feel feminine, like a nice lipstick, or pretty earrings or a cute dress, whatever is your style. Alternatively you can try a wig ofcourse.

Good luck to you, hope some of this can be of help and that you feel better soon. Take care

I have more than most, but not near enough. Stored in ammo cans, and my wife makes me some desiccant packs. Much cheaper than the little silica packs, and you can reuse them by microwaving them.

Basically, she takes a material called muslin (it's very thin, see through even) makes a pouch the size of the ammo can. Fills with a thin layers of silicate/desiccant beads (you can find a big pack online or at a Micheal's/Hobby Lobby)and sews it shut. Put it on top of the ammo and close the lid. I have a very thick one in my gun cab as well.

About every 6 months or year I take them and microwave them to get the moisture out (make sue your beads can do this) and throw them back in. Make as many as you need.

The longest cure you will be able to find at a hardware store will most likely be a 30 minute epoxy. Generally from what I've seen there will be a 5, 15, and 30 minute option. The reason I am saying get a long kick epoxy is because once you mix in the additive the reaction is going to increase pretty exponentially AND be very exothermic. I.e. you're not going to be able to work with it for very long and its going to get hot (depending on the amount it could get so hot that it starts to smoke).

As far as additives go, I have used just about everything out there from milled glass to chopped kevlar. In your case the filler is there so that the epoxy stays where its supposed to be and so that you get a consistent fill (no voids, etc). When you mix in a fiber based additive the epoxy (texture, spread-ability, etc) is going to behave very differently than if you mix in a powder. In your case the main benefit I see with using a powder vs a fiber is that you are going to get a better finish with a powder vs a fiber. With the fiber you will always have some strands that will go where you don't really want them too and when you're machining the epoxy out I could see you potentially snagging an errant fiber and popping the whole epoxy fill off (all depending on the size of your fiber)

The reason I suggest Colloidal silica is because it is a very commonly used bonding additive. Here is a Link to a supplier that will have a lot of different options with descriptions of whats out there. I've used almost every westcoast product. The 404 and 406 are great for bonding structural members. The 404 works better for impact and cyclic loading situations. 406 is more generic. If you are going to order something you could probably get a smaller quantity from amazon, but that website should give you an idea of options. CST is reputable and I have purchased a lot from them. I haven't used any of their epoxy though. My lab uses a different laminating resin. I am also not a huge fan of micro-balloons. I find them more difficult to work with and weaker than silica. The main reason they are used is because they are very light weight.

Ultimately, I don't really know how any of it would work out in this application. As you are well aware, its very difficult to put back material when you take too much.

Edit: Amazon Links for some 404, 406, and a 30 min epoxy.

It like supercharges the collagen in your body and stimulates hair growth. I started taking it 2x a day along with saw palmetto and biotin last July and I've got about 5 inches of NEW growth where I had previously lost hair.

I swear by saw palmetto. It helped majorly with my acne too because it's a DHT blocker. I e heard it's not recommended if you're taking progesterone, but I'm not on any type of birth control anymore so I've got no worries there. If you can't take it orally, OGX has a new niacin and caffeine shampoo/conditioner that uses saw palmetto to fight hair fall. I use that too :)

Yea, they can get pricey, haha. I've owned the one you linked, and yea, it's pretty large for a beginner. My lady started out with this one. Amazon has it pretty cheap too! ;)

Not sure, you might. I get mine from amazon, RAW Silica, I know for sure that it works and won't even try other brands.
