Alloy nuts are a bad idea for many reasons.

Blue color, steel, reputable manufacturer, $33 US (dunno what they'd cost in AU).

They make them out of metal too. You can get chromed, black, or bullet shaped

EDIT: Also didn't mean to imply these are for semis. Can confirm these are for douche-nozzle bro-dozed pickup owners.

Requires a 10 point bit. Hard to say without actually seeing the car but I'd say it's this one:

Just find your size.

What's important to look up is the thread pitch and size (ex: M12x1.25, just made that up, don't quote me). In addition, you want to make sure the end is the same (conical, tapered, etc.). You'll also want to make sure the lug nut is long enough for the stud, or get a pass through lug nut. I like Gorilla

I actually chewed up a bunch of lug nuts when I originally replaced my wheels and ended up picking up some extended ones on amazon.

Don't know if you're still looking for replacements but I got these to replace the ones on mine.
I have a 17 Fusion energi and they look like stock ones.

I have these on my CX5 and they're great:

McGard 65557BK Chrome/Black SplineDrive Wheel Installation Kit (M12 x 1.5 Thread Size) - For 5 Lug Wheels

Any 12x1.5 lug nut would work though.

Pretty sure he is not talking about torx, but the keyed lug nuts that require an adapter to turn... like this.

Snapped the original tool last week, so far I've bought 3 and none of them fit. I'm pretty sure the original lug bolt size is 17mm.

Link to the three keys I bought (if that helps.)

1, 2, 3

Go count the notches in the nut... I count 17, but it might be 18... doesn't look like 14...

I found this one, starting from the earlier link...

What's the difference between cheap lugnuts and expensive ones? I see they're the same design, so does it come down to aluminum vs steel?

u/Boleo ¡ 1 pointr/Miata

I'm not sure that these are the exact same fit as yours but they aren't hard to find. A tire shop can probably help you. Those nuts can have better clearance for alloy wheels and maybe to help prevent theft. If you notice the first link has a review with a picture where it broke just like yours so maybe stay away from the first one. Read the description and look at close up pics to make sure you get the right one.

I got these for my Method 502s cause I have a lower offset wheel. I'm sure if you can figure out the thread pattern for your WRX yo can find a set by this seller. Can't beat the price and they might even have shorter lug nuts.

I picked up one of these collapsible lug wrenches from O'Reilly's the other day when I couldn't lay hands on my old X-style wrench. I've been nothing but impressed with it. It does everything the X does, plus stores compactly, gets your knuckles further from the tire, offers different leverage options depending on how you're positioned, and drives any 1/2"-drive socket so you can carry your own if there's an oddball need on your vehicle. Big, big fan.

As for recovery gear, I carry a pair of traction-boards so I can simply drive out of most minor stupidity, plus a hand-cranked Come-Along for when it's not so minor. I keep an assortment of straps and cables, a wide tree strap, and some shackles to link it all together. All this stores down around the spare tire and the car appears "empty".

Also down there is another pair of work gloves, rain poncho, a simple wool hat, and a magnet-mount flashlight with lithium AA's in it because I know I'd forget to change anything else.

If you are just looking for spline drive lug nuts I recommend McGard. I had black ones and I found the finish kept it's dark black color a lot better than other tuner lugs.

You can also get wheel locks from McGard that weight the same.

Here is a kit with 16 lugs + 4 wheel locks though you probably only need 16 total.
