Few games require a gamepad. Buy a Pro controller. It's all-around a superior controller. 50 hour battery life. Great feel. Much lighter. Same button and stick layout as the gamepad.

If your gamepad's battery is the issue, keep the gamepad plugged into the charging cable and then see what the usable distance is.

If you need a new battery, buy one (ask in this subreddit; I've never done that), or buy another battery extender. It doesn't damage the existing battery. You turn it on when your gamepad battery is low, and the extender recharges the battery in real time. It's the equivalent of plugging the charging cable into your gamepad, but without the cord. People buy an extender when their gamepad battery is dying, which I guess could convince a person (who has a poor memory) the extender caused his battery to give poor performance when the real cause is age and usage. It's normal for batteries to retain less of a charge over time.

I have had this for over a year and it really helps and is only $12 on amazon.

Nyko uBoost - it's only $14 on Amazon (with Prime), I've seen it marked down even further at Gamestop stores, it doubles the battery life, it's easy to install/remove, it has a built-in stand, and it allows the gamepad to lay down flat (for minigames in Wii Party U). It's an ideal solution for most people but was a launch day accessory, and so they didn't sell very well and are probably not being made any longer. Get it while you can!

I have this one and it works great!

I've had this one since my Wii and it works pretty well. Don't leave your Wii remotes on it too long after they are done charging. During college I left mine on there whenever they were not being used and the batteries needed replaced as they wouldn't hold a charge anymore.

well the Wii U (deluxe) came with a Gamepad charge stand, just couple it with one of these and you can just put them next to each other for convenience.

This thing saved me so much money on batteries

I have a Nyko 4 wiimote charger station, the thing kinda sucks as the wiimote has to be exactly on the charger strip and people have claimed that new packs have dead batteries in them.

There is also a gltich where the WiiU sometimes reads the battery as almost dead even after the battery is fully charged.

1. Your best bet for Wii remote charging with the sleeve on will be induction charging stations like this 2 remote station or this 4 remote station. There are many more options, and you should look for one you like.
   
   
2. You can buy straight from Nintendo or pick one from Amazon, but I recommend reading reviews first.
   
   
3. The official Nintendo high capacity battery is currently out of stock on their website but available for way too much money on Amazon. I have heard good things about the official battery, but nothing about 3rd party batteries.
   
   
4. Depends on where you're located. The US basically has nothing good.

I bought mine from Amazon UK. I believe it was ~$40 after shipping/conversion. I just got tired of waiting for it to be restocked in the US, and it's been more than worth it.

You can buy official or knock-off battery replacements.

The cheap and fast option is a Uboost which attaches to the back, without a need to unscrew anything.

I remember my buddy had it and liked that it worked off of the game pad charger. As for a new charger. An original might be hard to get, I would suggest reading a lot of reviews and making sure the voltage is right.

By "Nintendo Product", do you mean like a first-party Nintendo device, or just anything used for Nintendo products? Like does this count?
