Man, I wish my 1993 was this mint. If you live in the rust belt, make sure you clean the gunk out of the fenders, bumpers, and frame! As well, you can easily fix your rear coil spring sag with a set of cheap Moog CC255 springs. Trust me, it's worth it.

I have a 2016 base model SR5 and first i installed the TRD Cold Air Intake and with just the intake i felt like i could feel the difference in power, you can definitely hear the difference from the stock intake to the TRD CIA.

Its supposed to give you better MPG but because of the sound it makes when you really step on it you wanna floor it all the time so my MPG went down lol.

Then i got the Borla Catback exhaust and honestly its only a little bit louder then stock but you can hear the difference and it did add a little more power i feel. I researched on some different forums before i got it and it seems like a good amount of people preferred the Borla over other brands.

Supposedly if you do those two mods together it can add anywhere from 5-20 Horsepower. For both mods it set me back about 1000 dollars. Heres the links to wear i got them.

I had the same considerations about redoing the assembly/etc. Decided to buy something similar to these for my '03 and they've been great. Totally changes the look of the car. A couple of recommendations:

Watch this video about replacing headlight assemblies. Not professionally filmed or anything, but it's the best one I could find.

Test the seal before you install them. I ran mine under some water with the lamps installed to test that part of the seal as well.

As far as focusing them goes, I basically had someone sit in driver's seat and took a picture of the headlight pattern then tried to match it once the new ones were installed. You probably won't have to do a lot of adjustment, and there are a few ways to do this, but it shouldn't be a big deal. You can PM me if you have questions.

I don't have RDS, but I do have the JBL Synthesis system, that looks like this.

That said, I have some confusion with the wiring harness...

  1. Do I NEED to pick up a JBL wiring harness just so that I can use the factory amp/sub?
  2. Can I use the regular wiring harness like this one, or will I need to pick up another one?

    Thanks

My father has on his Pathfinder This Hitch which is a step and looks really nice. It doesn't expand too much, so it doesn't look exaggerated but can protect on a direct rear impact. Theres also a Blacked out version which should look badass on a TRD 4Runner and theres the variants with led light on black and chromed.

PO put a good one on mine but idk where he got it from. I can upload a picture tomorrow if you remind me lol.

Edit: Actually it looks like [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/Custom-Accessories-38011-Gripper-Steering/dp/B000BPSVV4)

It looks to be made by Westin. I just got a very similar one (same light mounting spots, same sticker, same look) for my taco. Here is a link to the one I got if it helps :)

I did a Sony XAV-AX100 + Scosche kit + Metra harness + Metra antenna adapter + another adapter + Metra ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Controls + backup camera.

To be clear, it was kinda a bitch to get it all installed and working but 100% worth it now. Shoutout to /u/bon_temps for the camera link and advice, looks completely factory once installed.

Update for anyone who might have searched for this:

I ordered this cheap OBD2 reader from ebay and it pulled up fault code P1135, which is a faulty air/intake sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1).

The replacement sensor is about $95 on Amazon.

These are the rotors and brake pads I put on my 2001 and have no complaints.

Not sure about your other problem.
