I've been down that road... wanting the same thing.

I'm not there yet to my satisfaction, but there's always the official Samsung protective standing case (which is what I'm currently using). It's unbelievably rugged but it definitely adds a bit of bulk. (here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Original-Protective-Standing-Galaxy-Silver/dp/B07F8PGJHJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1551265826&sr=8-6&refinements=p_89%3ASamsung&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Samsung%2Bcase%2Bnote%2B9&dpPl=1&dpID=41V29L0frhL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1 )

There's eBay uk item 123485668162 which looks like it might be slimmer. I've been thinking about it.

There's the Caseflex slim one that looks really nice. Same as eBay uk item 113380101350 however on digging around for reviews it does seem that the stand isn't the most robust. I suppose at around £3 a go, you could just replace it if the stand breaks.
(same thing on Amazon is almost twice the price...

There's also the Titacute one, which I've also been thinking about here

I think Ringke make some that seem ok too.

I even got one of those car tyre type cases but I don't like it - phone feels too loose.

If you charge wirelessly then you'll need to avoid any with metal on the back... like those ones with the metal rings.

Hope this is of some help / given you a couple of ideas :)

I am actually about to post a video reviewing cases for the Note 9. I basically buy every single case on Amazon and test them. For the Note 8, I like the Supcase Beetle with the hard plastic sides. It was awesome. I dropped my phone a bunch last year and it is fine.

The reason I liked it was that it had raised corners so that if you set the phone down flat the screen is raised a good bit above the ground. It also had sides that came up even with the screen. You could still use the edge, but it was tall enough that nothing was sneaking in to hit the edge on most drops.

This year, SUPCASE made a great case in the Beetle, but it was not my favorite becuase they only made the version with rubber and the rubber is super slippery.

I hated the Ringke Fusion last year, but this year it crushed it. And it's $9.99. It feels great in the hand and raises the edges as high as any case but the SUPCASE. GhostTek was decent too.

Basically though, Verizon is a ripoff. 25% off of a case at Verizon is probably still 35-45% too high. Every accessory at Verizon is priced ridiculously and Verizon makes their money there like movie theaters make money on suckers buying concessions. Further Otterbox kind of became the Apple of smartphone cases. They were great in 2012, but have steadily raised prices, lowered quality and lost their cache, but can still charge a premium to people who are used to buying them from that 2012 cache.

In my opinion if you are paying over $20 for a case you are doing it wrong. Only one MAYBE might be the RhinoShield, but I didn't get to test that one because it's not out yet.

Hell, this was my third favorite case: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FYDX6RT/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Staedtler Noris Digital Samsung Pencil, EMR Technology, Yellow Black (GP-U999ERIPAAB) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N31S7C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_nbKIBbSZ1WV63

Worked great with my Note 8... all 2 hours until I put it in my back pocket walking to a meeting... then sat down.

Pro Tip- don’t put in back pocket...

Was able to epoxy the parts together, but it was never the same... a bit bent feeling and weakened at the repair points.

FYI: the body of the pencil is just like a normal pencil (even with a lead like center). It only the area that looks like a sharpened pencil tip that has the S-Pen -parts

Ringke Fusion has many accolades from several different Youtubers, but I haven't seen anyone talking about the Ringke Dual-X which is the Fusion but two parts, TPU and hard plastic and a non-clear textured back. It looks way better than the Fusion in my opinion and is an all around great case. Highly recommended (the 5-star review and pictures are mine).

unfortunately most screen protectors don't go that far around the edges because it would prevent them from fitting in most cases. But I have found what works best for me is this film

Easy install and i don't have to worry about the webbing like whitestone.

u/similar_observation · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

Just so we're clear. I have this model.

The squared corner model was not available when I received the Note 9.

I don't like how the top of the case (around the camera) tapers to a point. While it makes it more comfortable for pocket carry, it is also harder to grasp if you pocket it "camera first."

This especially applies when you're using a pouch. Speaking of pouches. It's way too bulky to fit into a condor pouch.

Lastly. It gets warm when it's doing it's job. I don't know how this affects the phone's performance.

Ringke Air.

Hands down the best slim case that's feels like nothing on the phone.

Thanks for the video and the text.

I am currently using Spigen Thin Fit 360 Amazon reviews say that color wears off.. I'm hoping mine would last atleast a few months

I also got the Ringke Air I think this might become my daily driver. It is thin and light, but a fingerprint magnet.

RhinoShield SolidSuit

A bit pricey but works great! Check out this video for the drop test: https://youtu.be/p9XH748e3qU

My phone lives a tough life. I'm an auto mechanic. I purchased this Spigen Tough Armor Galaxy Note 9... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FMCK2BC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I've dropped it a few times and so far so good.
And I also purchased the Tech Armor 3D Curved Ballistic Glass https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FK28R42?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I have always used these glass covers on all my previous phones. My friends that do phone repairs always recommend the glass covers bc in a drop, the impact is dispersed across the glass protector and not the actual phone screen.

u/cbeater · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

installed this yesterday on new note9, 2 pack for $18, doesnt have a rig jig to place the glass down. Easy enough to install, some tips - add all the glue dont skimp, dont press down if you add enough it will spread, turn on screen to see where the glass covers while placing, and use uv light for 10 mins moving up and down.

Spigen Neo Hybrid or Spigen Tough Armor (Tough Armor is a bit more bulky but more protection).

Some people like the Staedtler Staedtler Noris Digital Samsung... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N31S7C?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

u/Reddittoomuch · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I am using the ESR Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector.

I haven't had any issues with it so far (other than dust around the edges). Feels perfect and no color distortions. With the added sensitivity, I am able use it without issues.

I have this case from caseology on my note 9. I think it works well and it's fairly thin. Even dropped my phone a couple times with this case on with no problems.

Anker sells a nice wireless charger on Amazon. It's not the full charging speed that the Official Samsung wireless charger uses (15W) but it does charge at 10W. It has two coils within the stand so it can charge through the bigger cases if you have one. It's a affordable price too at $20 currently.

I've used Ringke Fusion cases for my last few devices. It's pretty solid. Only problem I have with the Note 9 case is that the edges are too sharp (Fusion cases for my other phones did not have this).

u/Dan093 · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

Caseology for Note 9 case... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FK8CJCN?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

This one I've had for a month now and I love it. No yellowing, no scratches and the border of the case matches the color of the phone

u/OgunX · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote9

I dropped my phone and the clicky part broke off. The pen still works but I replaced it for 27 bucks off of amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Official-Original-Galaxy-Stylus/dp/B07F8RF1MM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=note+9+spen&qid=1556662780&s=gateway&sr=8-3

if you can spare a few bucks i'd just replace it.

u/hihi217 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

They both have S-Pens, and use the same technology.

As you can see with this Amazon listing, the Tab S3 S-Pen works with all Note phones.

AUKEY USB-C Car Charger with... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E764DXM

Anker PowerLine II USB-C to C... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071JRXZCZ

This is the one I use with usb C to usb C cable and it fast charges in my car. I had similar issue earlier with my old quick charge 3.0 charger. This one also works with my cable that I got from Samsung.

Holy crap, I wasn't aware that was available! That actually solves a huge related problem for me, thanks!

u/Garthark · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

official protective case has a stand built in (this one) so that'd eliminate one problem and open up your options for a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad as a stand will no longer be a requirement

u/JyveAFK · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote9

No problem. Just plug in this;
https://www.amazon.com/CompuLab-fit-Headless-Display-Emulator/dp/B00FLZXGJ6

and still remote into it.
it's that remoting into it that still doesn't appear to work for now. Once that was possible, can work around everything else.

This one one is real. I have 4 of them: ESR Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector, (2-Pack) Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Force Resistant Up to 11 Pounds] [Full Screen Coverage] [Case Friendly] for Samsung Note 9 (Released in 2018)

Here is an idiotic review from guy named:

Good concept but bad execution

ByArmySargeRetired2010

Touchscreen very challenging to use with protective cover. Good product that does its job however very dissapointed that it became a challenge to text without hitting keyboard so hard.

This person is not so smart after all and does not need a Note 9, because if he was any type of Sarge, he would know to turn the Touch Screen sensitivity option on to be used with screen protectors.

How can someone give a product a bad review when they are they are the one that doesn't even know how to properly use what they bought?
