I would like to point this out:

>And don’t settle for a 99% partial eclipse just outside the path. “There’s no comparison between partial and total solar eclipses when it comes to sheer grandeur and beauty,” Michael Zeiler, longtime eclipse chaser and creator of the Great American Eclipse website told Universe Today. We witnessed the 1994 annular solar eclipse of the Sun from the shores of Lake Erie, and can attest that a 99% partial eclipse is still pretty darned bright!

Do yourself a favor and make the short trip up to the Nashville area where you can see "Totality" for up to 2 minuites and 40 seconds.

I also recommend a good pair of solar sunglasses and maybe a good pair of binoculars with a solar filter.

Do not ever stare directly at the sun without protective gear on

I'd just like to point out that I didn't bring up the commercial brands of jerky (they really aren't that good, but if the comparison is going to be made, it needs to be accurate). To answer your question... Jack Link's 3.25oz bags are currently $4.68 at Walmart and 4 packs at Amazon are $15.

Look, like you said, your store isn't for everyone. My ideas on pricing come from growing up at the edge of the desert in Southern CA, where there were quite a number of stores that sold fantastic beef jerky, often made on-site. You obviously get the sales traffic to do well enough and I wish you the best in your endeavors.

Yes, lots of others would have chipped in to help, if they knew who to contact.

We walked away from the events of April 27th with a few lessons.

  1. It takes about 3 days for everything in 7 foot deep freeze to thaw out if you leave the lid closed.

  2. You can never have too much bottled water on hand. Gallon jugs for washing up are a necessity.

  3. A grill is nice, but a turkey fryer is a godsend for boiling water.

  4. There's a reason it's called a Dutch Oven for a reason, you can actually bake in these. I always used mine for beans and stew until my buddy showed me how to make biscuits, cobbler, and cake.

  5. A hot shower is probably worth a lot more than you think when you haven't had one for a few days. Baby wipes warmed in the sunshine are a lot better than a washcloth with cold water.

I like Connors, Scene, and Cantina Laredo. Melting Pot is good for a date, but I bought my own Fondue Pot and I've found way more creative recipes to try at home.

I miss Sakoa, though. That was hands down my favorite lunch spot.

I honestly never occurred to me that someone might not know what magnetic poetry was. So the original edition is 300 words on magnets that you can rearrange to make funny and weird poems or lines on your fridge (or storm shelter). There's a ton of different editions like sexy, geek, ect.

We also added this to our shelter for those words that are missing:

I can go on for hours, with similar stories of my home of 16 years. The following have been the best things I have ever done to combat my experiences:

I was reading a book called Hitler's Scientists. In it von Braun is quoted as saying something to the effect of: "I don't care if it is Uncle Sam or Uncle Stalin, so long as he is a rich uncle."

You can't explore science at the speed he wanted to without deep pocketbooks. Glad he ended up on our side.

Upvote. If you're not getting it fixed right away, this will ease some of your headaches. I prefer this style, but to each their own. http://www.amazon.com/Post-Battery-Master-Disconnect-Switch/dp/B001N729FS
