There's a better one on Amazon that has a touchpad as well. Plus the keyboard is magnetic so it can stay in the case or remove it. I have one and it's pretty awesome for what it is..
The only thing I don't like about it is the kickstand on the back is a bit shorter than would be ideal but I just put something under it and it's fine.

That being said, android tablets don't make the best laptops. It is super handy for the times you do need it though I find it's easier to just use the touchscreen for pretty much everything aside from typing entire paragraphs or something.. And even that I would usually do on my phone unless it's multiple paragraphs that need to be super organized.
If you really want a small cheap typing machine I would grab a cheap chromebook.

You don't need to swipe apps away from the recent list when you're done with them. The system saves their state to RAM, but it frees it if it is needed for another app. I never bother clearing my recent apps, and I don't notice any slowdowns.

I personally opted to just use my N10 without a case because I wasn't willing to lose that awesome back, and the slim form factor. I did get a [sleeve] ( http://www.amazon.com/V7-Protective-Tablets-10-1-Inch-TD23BLK-GY-2N/dp/B007R3Z5E4/ref=pd_cp_pc_1) for transport and a [foldable tablet stand] ( http://www.amazon.com/Arkon-Portable-Fold-Up-Playbook-IPM-TAB1/dp/B000CKVOOY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1371221361&sr=1-1&keywords=tablet+stand).

this is the adapter I have. I just tried it, and my Grouper didn't see it. however, Bluestacks recognized it on my computer when I was using it on Project 64. so I thought it might work. apparently it works on Bluestacks because Windows has the drivers. there's probably a way to get it to work, but I haven't looked into it and can't find anything on getting that specific adapter.

I have a friend with one of these controllers because unlike me, he never had a real N64. he borrowed one of my controllers and adapter for a week while he gave me the cash and I ordered that for him. the next time I see him, I'll try that with my OTG on the emulator. that might work better than the May Flash adapter for that. I'll let you know if that works when I get a chance to test it.

I recently did a continuing education program (~200 pages) with about 120 assessment questions. Using ezPDF as the reader, and an amPen stylus (http://www.amazon.com/cell-phones-accessories/dp/B008MOHLVC), I was able to highlight with reasonable accuracy and mark up the PDF with handdrawn circles/arrows, although I would suggest a more fine tip stylus for good note taking since the width of a standard stylus isn't really too much better than a carefully maneuvered finger. I haven't tried it, but the Adonit Jot Pro has some good reviews (http://www.amazon.com/Adonit-Stylus-iPhone-Kindle-Tablets/dp/B00931K1QK/ref=pd_cp_pc_0), and came recommended by folks on this subreddit, but it was a bit pricy. For note taking during class, I don't know how happy you'd be with note taking from any tablet though, IMHO.

I saw this one, it looks nice and pretty decent reviews, think I'm between that one and this http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-KeyFolio-Universal-Removable-K39519US/dp/B00604YU4C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407810595&sr=8-1&keywords=google+nexus+10+keyboard+case Anyone have input on this? looks like its not only for the nexus 10 so thinking the cutouts wont be where they need to be.

I snagged this keyboard for $60. It works perfectly for multiple devices.

I've had this cover for mine almost since the thing came out and it's freaking incredible. I never expected it to last so long without any wear at all. It has the auto sleep/wake function you're looking for and the footprint around the edge of the tablet is super minimal. Recommend it 100%.

They're all pretty much equivalent as software is concerned. The hardware is a matter of personal preference, so it's hard to call one the "best".

I use this Logitech, and like it fine. If I were buying one today, I'd get this (solar charging, fast switching between devices) or this (no fast switching, I don't think, but a numpad etc) instead, based on the rave reviews of their longevity.

I used the pogo with usb extender cable and love it. It's connected to the nexus 10 charger and it charges faster AND while screen is on.

http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-A-Male-A-Female-Extension-Meters/dp/B001TH7GUU

Though that would work my extender is only 4'.

Thanks very much both, I should have linked to the adapter before

I found a review on the Canadian Amazon that says it works well with the Nexus 10
http://www.amazon.ca/Cable-Matters-Active-Female-Adapter/dp/B00879ELGA

My monitor is a HP Compaq LA2205wg, looking at some comments it doesn't support 1080p, I'm guessing this is the problem?
http://h30379.www3.hp.com/8844-en_gb/3955309/reviews.htm

I'm kind of surprised it doesn't work, it's not an old screen......

u/SurrealDelight · 2 pointsr/Nexus10

Here is the keyboard. It has no 1 stars and has over 90 5 stars, seems like a legit keyboard.

When you get the pogo cable, it's only the cable. Pogo at one end, standard usb on the other--it's designed to use the existing factory power adapter. According to them it apparently charges 25% faster, but I've never actually tested it. Mine is always charged up in the morning, or has significantly more juice after throwing it the charger for a bit. I like it mostly for the ease of use, just get the plug close and the magnets suck the cable on correctly--easy to do in the dark.

You'll need this:
http://www.amazon.com/MagNector-N10-Nexus-Pogo-Cable/dp/B00B2166BS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1414099145&sr=8-5

and something like this to replace your broken power adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Wall-Charger-Outlet-Output/dp/B005CG2ATQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1414099410&sr=8-11 Doesn't work with pogo cable according to reviews. Cannot find the factory power adapter for some reason.

I have the Moko Slim-Fit Multi-angle Folio Cover Case and it has a cut out area so you can attach the pogo connector with the case closed. If you really want to have it connected while in a standing position, you might consider getting a tablet stand like this one that leaves room for the connector. You might have to leave it hanging over the edge of your shelf or desk, but it would work.

But, no, I do not believe there are any 90° pogo cables and even if there were, I doubt they'd be flush enough to fit in your case.

Just like this. This bad boy is just a little longer landscape, a little shorter portrait, and is able to fit in my pocket along with my N10 with no stress. I have had it since December, and have used it about every day for 4-5 hours. Still has not died on me.
