>I wish I could try one without buying it first

amazon's return policies are pretty generous. i would actually be comfortable ordering one of each, test them out, and return all but the one i liked most.

so you're grabbing the logitech model, the one that looks similiar to the apple keyboard?

>Seriously though, those keyboards are tiny... I'd be so impressed at how fast you could type on one of those.

the two smallest ones would require a thumb-typing method most likely, but i suspect it would still allow for quick typing given the phsyical buttons.

>EDIT: Oh wait, what about this one? I forgot I had it a wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055QYJK6/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1

i like that one too. appreciable design, tiny but fully functional. very nice. it's clearly very similira to the logitech model and the apple keyboard...given the minmal price difference, i'd probably opt for the logitech version over that because i have more faith in logitech's quality control than hp's, personally.

Oh wow. Those are crazy tiny/portable. I wish I could try one without buying it first — I'm pretty confident I'll like the Logitech... ordering it now. Wish me luck.

I have been using this for a while:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008MOHLVC

Works great, and best of all, no more smudges on my screen :)

I have not really used it for writing notes though. I use it for most other tasks but note taking. The tip is pretty big, so not sure how accurate it would be for taking notes.

For general use, it is a great stylus though.

I'm pretty indecisive.

I have these cases:

Poetic Slimline - Navy Blue

rooCASE Dual-View Multi-Angle - Black

rooCASE Origami Slim Shell - Black

I like them all. The shells are nice for reduced bulk, but the dual-angle multi-view is a nice leatherette folio-style that lets me carry my stylus along thing it and I feel like it gives it a nice bit of padding.

I got this case on amazon uk which came with a free screen protector. The case im actually not crazy about, i think i want a slip cover or something as i just dont need a stand for everyday use. the screen protector is pretty good, the screen still feels responsive and looks excellent but it does show fingerprints more :(

Anywho i will use the case and screen protector for a few weeks just to keep my nexus in good condition. Basically for if have a change of heart and decide to sell it

I just installed this one: http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechSkin-Protector-Lifetime-Warranty/dp/B008FQ5JNO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1348728701&sr=8-4&keywords=nexus+7+screen+protector

Its a little more involved than your typical screen protector. You have to power down your device since its a wet install. Was pretty easy though. I just installed it before crashing out, and by morning it was good to go and ready to be turned back on. Really nice screen protector.

Thanks, llimmi. What do you think about the Amazon reviews? I'm wary of the issues mentioned there (namely screen scratching), despite other glowing reviews such as this one.

Also, how quickly can you write and how accurate is the lettering? I'm not looking to write as quickly as I can with pen and ink, but if I can find a stylus that comes closer than my otherwise decent AmazonBasics stylus, I'll probably be happy.

I like mine "naked" as well and ordered this sleeve from Amazon for $6.99 and I've never had it just fall out, it's perfect for my purse:

$7 and absolutely love it. I enjoy using naked devices at all possible.

8GB, bought from Staples in perfect condition.

Been using this case and I love it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008J255Y2

u/Fergal_McCabe · 5 pointsr/Nexus7

Link to purchase: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008GSMRAY
Includes: Stylus and Screen protector.
Great case for the price and gives perfect access to all the Nexus 7 Buttons.

u/damontoo · 16 pointsr/Nexus7

You paid $293 for it?!

I would return it. Seriously. Given that it's prone to defects you should get it directly from Google. It only costs $250 for the 16GB version and you get a free $25 credit to the Play store for buying apps. You also get a free $10 credit in Google Wallet. If your product has a defect, Google will ship you a new one before you return the old one and return shipping is free.

Seriously.. return it and tell that seller they're a piece of shit.

u/abadbronc · 1 pointr/Nexus7

I have this on mine. It adds to the thickness a bit but feels very well protected.

u/seeBurtrun · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

I picked up these. I like them, take a bit of the glare down and I really like the texture. My fingers slide on it a lot better than on the bare screen.

u/Awesomeade · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

Got curious, and found this on amazon.

Looks pretty solid.

u/iLolo · 1 pointr/Nexus7

Get this case. This thing is worth $40 easily. I could not have asked for a better <$10 case.

u/doggexbay · 1 pointr/Nexus7

Another recommended app: https://www.pushbullet.com/ This thing is the shit. Turn links, files, notes etc. into a push between devices (phone, tablet, browser, contacts).

[Here's my keyboard.] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009JPBPWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) It's not built-in like my wife's Logitech iPad keyboard, but it's less cramped so good for typing over longer periods. I also like that I can shift the keyboard around depending on my work surface.

u/DetectiveClownMD · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Windows 8, Windows RT and Android3.0+
http://amzn.com/B009JPBPWO

This is the best built one I could find for a decent price. I'm looking for the same.

Edits I can't link properly

I got a cheap Amazon one for some basic things, not an artist so it didn't need to be great.

u/brwtx · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

I was just going to buy the IVSO or Poetic Bluetooth Keyboard FHD Case off of Amazon. They are only $20-$25. Anybody know of a reason why I shouldn't? Problems other than what is noted on Amazon reviews?

Poetic

IVSO

u/sri745 · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

Ah perfect timing OP. I was just looking at cases online. Here are the ones I was considering:

  1. Moko Ultra Slim Lightweight
  2. Poetic Slimbook Leather Case

u/NoBluey · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

At first I was going to get the Asus Travel Cover for $20 but I read that because it was the first case to be released, it lacks smart wake/sleep. Also the Amazon reviews aren't so hot with an average of 3 stars.

u/PerfectApple · 1 pointr/Nexus7

I have the 2012 Nexus 7 16gb. I use it for mostly streaming videos and internet browsing which means 16gb is plenty.

A good case I bought not to long ago and hasn't caused any problems yet would be this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008J255Y2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/r0cki · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Nexus-Official-Travel-Cover/dp/B00DY3J966/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1406751315&sr=1-1&keywords=ASUS+Nexus+7+Cover

That's the one I had. Costs a lot for what it does, it's pretty much a piece of rubber you stuck around your N7.

The one you linked seems rather sturdy and well built...

Try the Roocase Leather Executive (2013). It has long been my case of choice for the 2012. I use it everyday as a college student, and I have tried 4 or 5 cases now and this has been my favorite by far.

u/thinkklinck · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

Just found this, poetic is a good brand and that deal of 4 bucks to is insane for this right now, free shipping too! You might have to select new nexus 7 instead of old but its there.

http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Slimbook-Leather-Android-Function/dp/B008IEGSGU

u/REparsed · 1 pointr/Nexus7

I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/HP-FB344AA-AC3-TouchPad-Wireless/dp/B0055QYJK6/ref=pd_cp_e_0

It's built well and a lot of the extra the extra keys (like the vol). It was $21 when I got it a couple weeks ago.

u/vanillaworkaccount · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

It looks like this one or this one, but there's too many differences around the camera.

u/billyburrito · 1 pointr/Nexus7

I have the official "gray" one, its nice... amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DY3J966

u/Cabana · 3 pointsr/Nexus7

I have the Devicewear case and it doesn't have that problem

u/pizzle_dizzle · 1 pointr/Nexus7

I bought a similar one. It was $8.99 last week. Bought it with this screen protector and got a couple of bucks off.

u/ensay · 2 pointsr/Nexus7

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Keyboard-Windows-Android3-0-920-004569/dp/B009JPBPWO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382497669&sr=8-2&keywords=android+keyboard+logitech

quick search gives me this. There are Windows, Android and Mac options available. The only difference is the Windows key is replaced with the appropriate keys.

u/Wylte · 1 pointr/Nexus7

Seconded on getting a screen protector! A pack of the cheap plastic ones is great, but if you want something longer lasting, Skinomi has been on 2 of my phones and my N7, absolutely no problems or need for replacing. I've heard good things about ArmorSuit too.

u/zeppelin222 · 3 pointsr/Nexus7

This is what I have: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008UQJU2K/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
It's alright, I like the design and everything, but the magnets are kind of weak and sometimes when you fold the cover onto the back it gets confused and puts the nexus to sleep.
