One of my favorites for my car is the Mountek ngroove snap. It goes in your cars cd player and you put a metal plate in between your phone and case/battery cover and a magnet holds it into place.

My favorite case is the Verus Iron Shield for the s5 even though I don't have it anymore. It has a aluminum frame around it and it gives the phone a premium feel to it. I don't have it anymore because it's very fragile. If you drop it once it bends up the aluminum frame. So I ended up returning it with the intention of buying another one but still haven't.

I just bought myself the Tab S 8.4 and purchased one of Logitech's Bluetooth Tablet Keyboards with it. I hunted around for a keyboard case, but none of them really impressed me nor looked like they could withstand everyday wear-and-tear. The Logitech syncs up easily, works well with Android, and also feels great. Both the keyboard--which comes with a case--and the tablet take up hardly any space in my backpack, which is very important because I'll be using the tablet for all of my classes next semester along with the keyboard for any of my programming courses.

Logitech made two of those keyboards, one for iPad and one for Android/Windows. I have one for my iPad Pro and I love it. The protective case for the keyboard folds out into a stand for your tablet.

quick search gives me this. There are Windows, Android and Mac options available. The only difference is the Windows key is replaced with the appropriate keys.

I have a GN4 as well as a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Ed. I use the Logitech Tablet BT Keyboard for both of them but mostly the tablet and the Office-like app. It connects quite easily and battery life using Eneloop 2,000mAh Ni-MH rechargeable batteries is very good.

I really wanted keyboard/case combo, but none of the ones I found were to my liking. I like the Logitech one because the case folds into the stand if you need one. The other downside of the tablet itself is that the charging port is on the bottom edge of the tablet. When I want to charge the device while using the stand, I just let the screen rotate and use it upside down. The Note 4 hasn't been a problem. I have the Otterbox Defender case with the belt clip and use the clip as the kick stand.

I have not tried any other BT keyboards with my Note devices. Since you want a KB with a USB port, to attach a mouse I presume, a work around for this would be to use a BT KB and an USB OTG cable to attach a mouse via the micro USB charging/data port. I am not sure if a wireless mouse will work, but I have successfully used my OTG cable to attach a cheap Dell wired mouse and many times to upload .cr2 and project files from my SD card reader and thumb drives respectively.

There are many OTG cables out there. Samsung makes one for about $10 (at BestBuy) but you can get a bunch from Monoprice.com for that amount.

We used a wireless Logitech trackball mouse and a bluetooth tablet keyboard for the observing. Just set the tablet on the entertainment center and had the mouse and keyboard at our table. Obviously there are many options available, but I've included the links to what we have.

I love this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009JPBPWO . I mostly use it with my LG tablet, but it works fine with my G3 as well. I use it constantly, and find it does really well. The case/stand is really clever, too. You have to download the null kb to use it (or any bluetooth kb) conveniently--at least for switching back to the on-screen kb. Maybe Lollipop handles this better? Pairing is trivial, and I've had it 3 months and still haven't changed batteries.

It is four years old (since I bought it) and is at an amazing price.

My case has a built in stand so I find the combination of the two to be great.

I have a similar setup also for school. I use a Bluetooth Logitech Tablet Keyboard and I have an OTG cable that I use occasionally for USB storage and sometimes a spare Logitech wireless (unified) desktop mouse I have lying around. (Also, if you're looking for a case recommendation, I'm using the MoKo cover that a few other people on this sub recomended, and it's been pretty nice--especially for the price)

I find this setup to work pretty well, but the mouse is usually overkill. Another thing to point out with my mouse is that if you don't use it after a very brief period of time, it disconnects into a power saving mode and takes a while to reconnect. A few other notes from my experience with mice on Android is that left, middle and right clicks all act as touch inputs; hover events work in specific applications like Chrome; scrolling works like you'd expect it to; and the back button acts like the system back button (but the forward button is useless, even in Chrome).

I can definitely recommend the keyboard, though. The one I linked to already is a full-sized keyboard with decent keys and shortcuts that work like they say. Alt + Tab also works like on Windows--and it's amazing to say the least. Typing on it still feels a bit weird, and possibly my biggest gripe about it is that if you're holding Shift, the backspace button doesn't do anything.

I'm not really sure how it works to have multiple Bluetooth connections since I haven't really tried it before, but I think that the Nexus 9 supports multiple connections, even to older Bluetooth revisions. My only experience with this, however, is the fact that I once had my tablet connected to my laptop and the keyboard over Bluetooth.

You have the exact same logic as I had, I got my mouse, keyboard, and HDMI-Mini DisplayPort hardware for well under $130. I can take a picture if you want to see them for size etc.

I got the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for Windows for $39 (now $43.75). I got this one specifically because of the layout of the Ctrl key (can't stand the Fn key being on the outside). I use it daily and it works great. Only downside for me is you have to use Fn to press the F-keys, but I quickly got used to it. The included case is nice if you want to throw it in a backpack or carry it naked; but once I got my smaller bag, I put the case away and just carry it to keep down weight and size.

I got the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse for $23. Its a nice compact mouse that is made specifically for Windows 8. I carry it around with the rest of the stuff. I usually use the pen, but when I am using my Surface as a media box, it's really nice to have.

And for good measure, I got the PNY MiniDisplayPort to HDMI for $10. But really, you could probably go with almost any option. I decided to go cheap, but not the cheapest, and this one has been working great for the past few weeks.

Currently I use a mechanical keyboard for my desktop. It's not terribly difficult to hook up a compact mechanical to a tablet either, and it gives you the portability-durability mix.

I tested some bluetooth keyboards at Fry's recently, however, and I think I would prefer certain ones for tablets (since the way I see it is that portability>durability). The Microsoft Wedge and the Logitech for tablets both felt significantly less fragile than standard "portable" keyboards.

Those flexible rubber mats are devilspawn though.

But as I said, if you're really concerned with the durability, you can probably get a micro->USB adapter and plug in any standard keyboard you like, including mechanicals.

Edit: If keyboards feel fragile to you, I wonder if you type heavily? If so, Cherry black keys might be good, in which case Banggood's Keycool84 might be something you're interested in. Cheap, as far as mechanical keyboards go, but also the compact form factor. Just need a micro USB adapter to use it on your tablet.

I would say that your best bet would be a Bluetooth keyboard, either full size or folding.

I use a full size Logitech BT keyboard for both my Android and iPad devices. At just 11.5" it slips into a backpack or shoulder bag quite easily. The ones I have come with a cover case that doubles as a folding stand for the tablet, which is nice. You will find they are sold as being for Android, or for iPad, or for Windows, but all BT keyboards will work with all devices. Occasionally one will have special function keys for a particular device but if all you want to do is write then any will do.

However, I most often use a folding BT keyboard and a Nexus 4 phone.

You might think that a phone's screen is too small to write on but in landscape orientation it is just fine for banging out long emails or articles. The folding keyboard I have is almost full size and I have adjusted to the slightly different spacing of the keys.

I am a touch typist and on-screen keyboards simply do not work for me at all. I'd rather use a stick on wet clay than those things.

There are several folding keyboards on the market but if you can your hands on an iGo Stowaway you'll have the best. They have not been made in years but you can still find new (old) stock in original packaging. Be careful about the price. They should sell for about $150 but some people have been asking north of 300 dollars and getting it on eBay.

As I said, there are other folding keyboards but they don't have the rugged construction of the iGo and in some cases their keyboards are split on the hinge line in a way that makes efficient typing difficult. Read the reviews on Amazon.

Keep in mind that the keyboards that double as cases/screen protectors will probably be the same size as the iPad, aka very small. I have a Nexus 7 which is the same size as an iPad mini, and I got that larger keyboard which is comfortable to type on. I can't imagine using a tiny wireless one, my notes would be a disaster.
