I have and like my Logitech G410 which fits all of your criteria. From logitech you will pay more than your budget but you can get it for cheaper via 3rd party. Its $70 right now on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Tenkeyless-Mechanical-920-007731/dp/B01645FHEI

I also really like and actually use my Drevo TKL more tho which is not RGB: https://www.amazon.com/DREVO-84-Key-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B01H6DHITE/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1506356645&sr=1-5&keywords=drevo But one of the main reasons I really like this keyboard isthat the F-keys are directly in line with the number keys.

Drevo also has a RGB option but it doesnt have the inline F-keys: https://www.amazon.com/Element-Water-Proof-Mechanical-Keyboard-Anti-Ghost/dp/B01FXF7HFC/ref=sr_1_15?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1506356645&sr=1-15&keywords=drevo

Overall I use my drevo for the very specific reason of the in-line f-keys and its a feature I really value. However if this isnt important I would recomend the G410. But any of these listed keyboards wont steer you wrong.

Cheers!

If you want more feedback, then mechanical keyboards are certainly worth a go. The ones I suggested (linears) provide some feedback, and you can get tactile switches (e.g. mx brown) which have a tactile bump right when the key is registered as well. There are also clicky switches, which have a tactile bump and an audible click at the point of actuation as well. It's all very fun and exciting, so definitely try out a cheap mechanical board and see if you like it, or get a key tester (Amazon US link here) to see the difference between different switches. I also wrote this guide to different switches which might be helpful.

Seems like you're looking for a Max Keyboard Nighthawk X9.

The X9 uses Cherry Reds and has a 3 level red LED backlight. Profiles are available and used the functions keys for macros. It has two USB 2.0 ports, and mic/headphone jacks.

There's also an X8 version that uses Cherry Browns, and has blue LED blacklighting.

I have one right now, and I love it! Hasn't let me down yet. I also play LoL on it, as well as FPS, and other games on Steam.

I have size 18 of this. It's awesome. Perfect size for the keyboard and very, very comfortable.

Well I currently am using the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth. It's probably a wee bit more expensive than what you want, but there is the tournament edition which is tenkeyless and is quite a bit cheaper. If you are looking for something with media keys than there is the Corsair k65. But before you delve into this new wonderful world you need to take a look at the different switch types. There is a good buying guide on /r/MechanicalKeyboards. This also a good guide for the different types of switches. Also there is /r/mechmarket if you're okay with buying used keyboards.

u/_fortune · 3 pointsr/keyboards

You definitely don't need to go mechanical for gaming. I actually don't notice much of a difference in games because I'm not pressing that many keys generally. I definitely prefer how my mech feels while typing though. But that's all it is - preference. Some people don't like mechs. I personally can't go back to rubber domes for personal use.

If you can't try a mech keyboard locally, you can try ordering a switch sampler so you can get an idea of what the keys feel like at least, which may give you a better idea if that's something you'd like or not.

disclaimer: I only own and use TKL keyboards so I can only recommend TKL keyboards in good faith, which I understand are not for everyone.

THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG

This Havit TKL keyboard is my work keyboard, but it's very affordable and advertises NKRO (and passes your double shift test). The switches are Kailh Blue not genuine Cherry Blue and it is a lower profile keyboard but I love it. One major drawback is there is a bit of a tinny noise if you bottom out the keys to hard.

The Logitech G Pro is my home/gaming keyboard. I love Romer G switches but not everyone does so be aware of that. For reference they are basically MX browns but quieter (by a lot) and bumpier. I can confirm I have no issues with ghosting or rollover while gaming on it. It advertises this:

>Multi-key input means complex moves can be executed exactly right every time. With 26-key rollover, press almost any number of keys plus modifier keys (Control, Alt, Shift) in any order and get exactly what you intended.

Retails at $130 but link is for a refurb @ $70

Hmm, well, then it looks like you're going to be using cherry mx reds ;) Unless you're very handy with a soldering iron, then you will have to use reds. Don't worry though, they do feel very nice. And if you dont like it then you can return it and buy from amazon with cherry mx blues.

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00CD1FC6G

You can select what switch type you want.

u/techrat_reddit · 3 pointsr/keyboards

I actually just got this, and I think it seriously does help a lot having these four keys around to test how you like it. I found out that blue one is too noisy and that red and black did not offer any tactile response that I expected of a mechanical keyboard. So I think I like the brown the most, but I am still contemplating between Happy Hacker keyboard and the mechanical keyboard. If anyone else has used two before, let me know the cons and pros!

u/leetNightshade · 2 pointsr/keyboards

Good choice. Yeah, I started with a Cyborg, not bad, but now way overpriced. You also clearly know how to shop around. OP, here are Amazon links with reviews: Monoprice, Max Nighthawk, Max Durandel G1NL

And here's a site OP can search through for red led backlighting: mechanicalkeyboards.com

u/HotBurritoBeans · 1 pointr/keyboards

Your best bet is the corsair K90. It has back-light, 18 macro keys, USB port, dedicated media keys, and a wrist rest. It also has Cherry MX Reds, which are considered to be a "gaming" switch.

u/PenPenGuin · 1 pointr/keyboards

Both the 600 or Natural have keys that are very similar. They're all rubber dome keys, so there's no real way that I know of to really get nitty gritty statistics on press-force like you can with mechanical switches. I know from personal experience that the Natural was pretty heavy-keyed, especially compared to the newer Sculpt model which uses scissor switches (chiclet/laptop style keys).

u/VeRDAMMT- · 2 pointsr/keyboards

Hey man. The keyboard's name is Deathstalker. "Chroma" is the name of the RGB Razer's hardware.

From what i guess you're from the USA, so here's the link from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Razer-DeathStalker-Chroma-Multi-Color-Membrane/dp/B00ZTRW020

Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr-gYPbUJ4c

Anyway... two things: first of all i'd seriously suggest you to consider aswell the MX black keys, you might find what you want and get a superior device. And don't mind buyng razer products: i agree they are mostly overpriced (like any other brand tho, since all this stuff costs the same) but since 2013 they are actually good products.

u/gollyrancher · 1 pointr/keyboards

This is a $33 mechanical keyboard that fits what you describe. It's not backlit, but it's pretty good quality for a cheap price. I have one as a backup. If you do not like clicky keyboards, MX Blue switches might not be the best for you. If that's the case try a cheap mechanical keyboard with MX Clears.

u/youngbull · 1 pointr/keyboards

I guess if you must have a non-mechanical keyboard you could go for the bland hp keyboard

If you want something even smaller have a look at the Microsoft Arc

In any case I would recommend you reconsider a mechanical keyboard. You can get a Filco Majestouch Minila for about 100$. More than double the price of the regular keyboards but it does have better longevity (not that it matters too much with a keyboard, they last almost forever anyways) and quality.

u/BlammyBoi · 1 pointr/keyboards

Yeah, there are a few inexpensive ones like this Amazon Basics one or this Microsoft one
The AmazonBasics keyboard and mouse combo is on sale and cheaper than just the keyboard. You can do a search on Amazon for more options, just search for media keyboard or multimedia keyboard

u/whatsitallaboutaye · 1 pointr/keyboards

Well I'm just using a pretty standard Logitech K270 (~US$23?) at the moment.

Yeah, I noticed this one as well.

Only problem is I have limited places to test Cherry switches let alone non-cherry/cherry 'knockoffs'. I'm in Aus, which doesn't necessarily help either.

Thanks for the link though!

u/footofchaos · 1 pointr/keyboards

I use a full sized wrist rest with my TKL boards. I use the extra space on the right for my mouse. Works great.

I would say blues may or may not bother others next to you. Why not try out your das for a day or two and see what others think?

u/xyrgh · 1 pointr/keyboards

What about something like the Griffin Powermate?

Separate but can be used in any setup. I used one of these with my mechanical keyboards for ages before I ended up getting a dedicated headphone amp which already has a volume knob.

u/tuxbass · 1 pointr/keyboards

> or this filco http://www.amazon.com/Majestouch-Tactile-Bluetooth-Keyboard-FFBT67M/dp/B00F3V81VG

Now I remember stumbling upon that one. Everything looked perfect, apart from those function keys. They seem to be positioned in a way that begs for missing the spacebar.

Will look into Matias, cheers.

u/honeywave · 2 pointsr/keyboards

Das Keyboards are quite good specifically the Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate or the Das Keyboard 4 Professional. You can buy them with Cherry MX Brown, which are quite quiet in comparison with the Cherry MX Blue. The thing that these two keyboards don't have, for you, is the backlighting. Sorry. They're also on the more expensive side, around $165-170.

You can also buy the Corsair Vengeance K70, you can either buy them with MX Browns or MX Reds, both of them are non-clicky. This keyboard fits your specifications. The backlighting is red, not sure if you would like it. It costs around $115.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/keyboards

Yeah they do. The least expensive CM Storm keyboard is the Quickfire Rapid with Cherry MX Blue's. here.

There's also a Quickfire Rapid with Blacks seen here. And another one with Red's seen here..

There's also the CM Storm Pros which come in Black / Blue/ Brown/ Red with partial backlighting and a 10-key pad.

Then there's the CM Storm Trigger which comes in all Black / Blue/ Brown/ Red as well with full backlighting and a 10-key pad.

u/rempired · 1 pointr/keyboards

Cooler master is a solid choice in terms of build quality and price. They come in a full size keyboard (xt) and without a numeric pad (tkl) if that matters to you.

In terms of switches. it's purely preference, I would hit up a computer store to try out different switches if they have gaming keyboards available. MX reds, blues, and browns are all different typing experiences, there are other switches but these are the most common. You could also pickup a switch tester and try them before you invest in a board:

http://www.amazon.com/WASD-6-Key-Cherry-Switch-Tester/dp/B00AZQKCD4

u/watsaname · 2 pointsr/keyboards

If you want to try out some "cheap" o-rings check out this. They are a harder then the stuff that you can snag from WASD, but I actually prefer them over the ones from the Sampler Kit my brother got from them.

u/Azurphax · 7 pointsr/keyboards

Rosewill through newegg $90

Filco Majestouch2 TKL $140

CM Quickfire $70

u/Clessiah · 1 pointr/keyboards

There's always the original if you don't mind spending extra.

u/soulonfirexx · 1 pointr/keyboards

I'm not sure what you mean by arrows, insert, etc within the "main section" but after a quick Google search, I found this.

u/angelartech · 3 pointsr/keyboards

Maybe this Havit? Comes with Kailh Choc switches.

Mechanical Keyboard HAVIT Backlit Wired Gaming Keyboard Extra-Thin & Light, Kailh Latest Low Profile Blue Switches, 87 Keys N-key Rollover HV-KB390L (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0722GG88M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_kkkeAbH3M7BXW
