Yes. Not just for this girl, but because you'll need to ask for what you want in life. Whether prom works out or not, you might as well start getting in the habit.

For this instance in particular, keep in mind -- prom is (ideally) about having fun. If you make it mean something more than that, she'll feel that pressure. The pressure of you wanting her to say yes, you wanting her to like you, you wanting her to be your girlfriend, etc.

Not that those are bad things to want, but they put pressure on the other person, and that can be uncomfortable if they're not yet ready to accept that.

On the other hand, if you invite her and she gets the feeling that it's going to be fun, she won't have to worry about breaking your heart if she says no, or that prom itself is going to be this huge, stressful situation (because so much is riding on it for you) it'll be much easier for her to say yes.

In that scenario, she only has to be responsible for herself -- she doesn't have to worry about you, and that's an attractive quality. Someone who's going to enjoy himself no matter what. No pressure.

Try to put yourself in the other person's shoes. That advice that'll serve you well throughout your life.

Edit: for the record, I posted this before the lasybugs thing took off

You're not going to make any great progress on a PC build for that price. Besides, PC tech is changing so quickly, you shouldn't buy any one piece of it until you can buy all of it.

If you're looking for X1 games, I'm a huge fan of Destiny, but it's not for everyone. If you're looking for more of a sure hit, check out Shadows of Mordor or Dragon Age: Inquisition.

If you want to change things up a little, here are some of my favorite purchases (I'm a minor Amazon addict):

I like the idea, but make sure you know (a) how much ink cartridge refills cost, (b) whether you'll be willing to pay for them going forward, and (c) how easy they are to obtain. If they're only available online, you may want to buy a few packs with your purchase of the pen so you don't have to worry about additional shipping costs when purchasing later. (Don't go crazy and buy a lifetime supply, though - sometimes they go bad/dry out after a year or two.) My experience with nice stationery and art supplies is that if they're too expensive and/or difficult to obtain, you won't use them for fear of wasting them. So make sure this won't be a problem.

If you can't find a pen you like that meets these requirements, I'd suggest buying a nice writing journal and a pack of several decent-but-not-luxury pens to use in it. (Assuming you want to stay on the writing theme.) I have one of these MUJI pens and it writes quite well.

Another less expensive pen alternative, if you're more of the old-school fountain pen persuasion, would be a stick pen with interchangeable nibs and ink bottle. It's honestly not very practical but it's pretty fun to write with.

Yes. Stop now. At least for a while, long enough to regain complete control.

I had the exact same problem until a year ago. I tried all I could to moderate, I still ended up drinking way too much and passing out on my bathroom floor. So I quit drinking entirely for about 3 months, and took this time to re-think my relationship with alcohol. It did a lot of good!

If you need some help, try paying a visit to the folks over at /r/stopdrinking, and maybe read this book. Best of luck!

Husband and I found this store on a walk the other day. They had samples. I guess there's this one type of honey that crystallizes super fast. So they whip it, and it get's this super thick, sugary consistency. It's one of the best things that's ever been in my mouth. We've been making toast like crazy the past few days so we can eat it. lol. I'm gonna be making funnel cakes this weekend because we couldn't find any for the fourth. Gonna be spreading some whipped honey on that, too. I've also been eating it out of the jar. We may have a bit of a problem now......

Edit: I don't see the whipped honey on the site. I found this for you, which looks very similar to the one we have.

Tigers in the Mud was really interesting to read, cool to see WWII from a different perspective.

The Art of War is a good read as well. I like how it combines military strategy and Taoism.

Those are my favorite ones so far, but I read a lot more fiction than anything...

Ok yeah that sounds fair for the most part I guess. Especially since SSB is an oldie, but I found a used copy of SSB for about $35 on amazon if you wanna check it out.

Sure! The Audio Technica M50s and the Beyerdynamic DT770s are both right around your price range.

Glancing through your post history, I'd recommend this.

This Opinel Knife, such a quality knife. And that even leaves you a few extra dollars!
