I posted it elsewhere in this thread, but my Garmin VivoActive gets ~18 days of battery life, has an always-on colored screen, is very thin, and has GPS if you want it. There is a newer version with heart rate monitoring that I bought my dad, and he loves his.

You might want to try one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D4SFUTK/.

I got the "leather, loop" style, which isn't really leather, but a flexible plastic. I really like the magnetic clasp, as the band lays completely flat against the bottom of my wrist (no metal clasp), and it's easily adjustable. I got the small size, and it's more than big enough for my average size wrist.

Note that these are bands for the Fitbit Blaze, so they are actually 23mm wide vs. the 22mm standard for Pebble. It takes about a minute to trim the ends down a tiny bit to fit the Pebble watch.

If the scratches aren't too deep, you will likely have better luck with a subtractive product like Polywatch or Displex.

If any of the scratches are too deep to buff out with those, do your best, then fill the cracks with Vaseline and put a screen protector over it.

I'd suggest buying a kit like: http://amzn.com/B0045WE4HY . It gives you way way more than you need (including a bunch of other sizes you only may potentially use on other watches), but you get that along with 20 pins that will fit your pebble for about the same price as a single pair of pins elsewhere online.

I've run into this problem a handful of times, banging my watch against a door frame or tennis racket (thank goodness for a NATO-esque band that can hold with only one pin). It's sometimes impossible to find the pin too even if you know when it came out, since they are spring loaded and can launch themselves into the grass or behind a desk.

Anyway the kit has worked well for me, though I know I'll never use the whole thing.

Displex! That's the stuff you need. I've had a pebble for over a year, and for most scratches it has worked great. I would highly recommend. I'm on mobile so here's an Amazon mobile link (sorry) http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CFLMIFC?cache=554733e032377eea69e260194ea92678&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1411563677&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

Yeah! So cheap, but great quality

I just got my PTR a few days ago and ordered a cheap ($11!) stainless steel band from Amazon. It showed up a few hours ago and the install and sizing took some patience, but I'm really happy with the results.

I haven't seen too many pictures of round Pebbles with metal bands... anyone else swap theirs yet?

u/Cralex-Kokiri · 2 pointsr/pebble

I picked up a 14mm Pebble Round because they seem relatively cheap compared to the other size. I found this band on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I’m liking it so far. It’s wide, but not too wide for the watch. The buttons are easy to reach and it can even be charged without taking it out of the band. If you decide to get one, I recommend the iLLumiShield

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HQOUND2/ref=pe_385040_121528360_TE_dp_1

It fits perfectly and so clear that you won't even notice that it's there

I know your question was answered. But I just got a black pebble ordered this band and this slick wrap. And it looks gorgeous now.

I use this screen protector: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HQOUND2/

I replace it about once every 2-3 months as the scratches build up.

As far as polishing Gorilla Glass, I am afraid you are out of luck. Nothing you can do will get you back to a satisfactory finish.

However, that screen protector has a light adhesive on the back that fills scratches out fairly well and they seems to disappear under it. You will still get scratches on the face of the protector though.

I type all day, so I know what you mean. I have the black Pebble, and love this Nato watch band. The buckle is technically under the wrist, but I've found that the buckle is very minimal, and there's a layer of cloth that ends up running between any buckle and your wrist. Plus the color combo goes really well with the display colors.

I was really looking forward to see what you offered. I live in Italy and keep seeing those clearance Pebble ad very cheap prices I can't get. Although pretty sad to see that you offered 85usd plus international shipping for the Time Round since i can probably buy it cheaper directly from Amazon.it

Hope someone enjoyes those great watches ;-)

Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant 2.7-Ounce Tube (908570) is what I used. Seemed to have sealed it well enough, or at least it hasn't sprung leaks. No extensive tests yet though. Might be too permanent for some, though https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002BBX3U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_T6syGaz5T144k

Just a formal FYI for those who don't have the ability to 3D print such an awesome item:

Amazon vendors sell something like this, albeit instead of using the charging cable you plug in a micro USB in the base and it translates into the charging cable embedded into a stand.

I myself purchased one because I was so darned interested in this but unfortunately the cheapest place near me with shipping would be a smidgeon higher ($21 vs $18) so I'll report back on this.

u/wampiter · 4 pointsr/pebble

I used: https://www.amazon.com/Loctite-Silicone-Waterproof-2-7-Ounce-908570/dp/B0002BBX3U/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1538682590&sr=8-4&keywords=silicone+sealant

There are plenty of other options, including a gorilla glue 100% silicone sealant for just $.40 more.

And yes, if anyone is planning to make a new run of these, let me know so I can explain where the 3D model falls short, and perhaps put you in touch with the 3DHubs vendor who made mine.

FYI

PSA: Amazon has Vector Meridian Smartwatch Black Silicon Strap for 91 bucks (was ~155 yesterday)

I got this one and think it looks good! Sorry for the link - I'm on mobile... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00T96B32K/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah the Time Steel and Steel bands are not really compatible. Well technically they can work but would either need to be modified or would just look weird since the Steel has the lugs and the Time Steel doesn't. I have seen them on ebay and amazon though.

This one is on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Leather-Watchbands-Smartphone-Prolongs/dp/B00KASXOOQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1542313497&sr=8-5&keywords=pebble+steel+watch+band

u/rajrdajr · 1 pointr/pebble

JDI developed the screen for Garmin and then they sold them to Pebble too. Check out Garmin's VivoActive HR (normally $250, marked down to $200 on Amazon for the holidays) if you're interested in an e-paper watch with an SDK (Garmin's ConnectIQ).

u/acepeak · 5 pointsr/pebble

I've been looking at the Asus Zenwatch 2.

But this looks interesting.

u/AntediluvianEmpire · 3 pointsr/pebble

Here's what I ordered, seems to be an exact copy of the original Pebble leather band.

u/get_N_or_get_out · 1 pointr/pebble

Oh man, that's a shame about the blue, guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. For the pink, is this the same one? For $20 I feel like I might as well just get one!

u/eduardopy · 1 pointr/pebble

On amazon it is a lot cheaper. Heres the link.

u/iwasanewt · 1 pointr/pebble

The Meridian model is currently $118 on Amazon.

u/velamar · 1 pointr/pebble

I bet this would work if you supplied your own quick release pins.

u/sturmeh · 1 pointr/pebble

Ah weird, this is the one I bought: http://www.amazon.com/22mm-James-Bond-Black-Ballistic/dp/B005BDZFBA/

It says NATO everywhere. ><

u/Ruphies · 1 pointr/pebble

I got this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01D4SFUTK/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1&th=1

It does not budge and you can make it as tight or as lose as you want.

u/Jan_na00 · 1 pointr/pebble

Brushed onyx wrap AMAZON

Leather Strap EBAY
They say NATO for the strap, but I am confused by this because I read that there's supposed to be extra material between your wrist and the back of the watch for something to be considered a NATO strap. This particular strap does not have that extra bit.
